Mini-DDC brawler but it goes a bit slow. At least you have 24-25 shots of everything.

CN9-AH

AC20 3.5 tons ammo and 3 SRM4 with 3 tons of ammo. 225XL though and shaved off some leg armor.

I'm going to try this out myself

Has half the missiles of your build but a much bigger XL engine. I'm hoping the speed comes in handy.

Edit: took off the arm armor and 2 off the head for another ton of SRM ammo

currently running an AH with ac20 3srm4s 3ton ammo each i think might be 3ton 20 2ton srm and an xl 275 shaved off alot off armor off the head some off the left arm and about a ton total from the leggs so kinda brittle but fast and a mean punch to it

I am thinking about this build:
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...0ebbad079e933de

AC5 for range and SRM4s for when things get close.

Or this one with a bigger standard engine, FF and ES:

This one's mine:

CN9-AH

It runs a bit short on ammo, but it's a lot of fun!

CN9-AH "20 Downer".

I traded firepower for additional speed. Similar to the OP's though.

I dont understand this build. What am I missing?

You have case in the right torso, but a XL engine.

You lose that side torso, your dead anyhow....

XL Engines? In my Centurions?

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...d392af3d74046c5

It's less likely than you think.

Triple SRM6+A for shotgun goodness, then triple MG crit spam....still has decent speed and BAP for passively cancelling out ECM so your missile boats scan support you.

I understand not wanting a xl engine. your speed in a 200 is a big compromise though. 25kph faster is pretty good damage mitigator.

I'm used to running slow mediums. I do have a 275 in my CN9-AL, CN9-A and HBK-4SP, but my HBK-4H is my best performing medium running a 200 std, and so far the CN9-AH seems to be following suit. Yes, the speed is nice, but you can't play a 200 engine medium like a 275 medium and hope to do well. It's a different playstyle- you don't stray as far from your fatties and you have less room to engage targets on the edge of your range, but you do a lot more damage and stay alive for a lot longer. Had three games today already where I tanked down to ~20% health in my AH, losing both sides and both arms while the fatties finished off the greedy swine who thought I would be an easy kill to finish.

I used to run my -A as a GaussCent, though I used SRMs instead of LRMs, lights tend to find you when you are a slow medium hanging around at the back, so something for short range defence is recommended.

I just feel the -A is better for a Gauss setup, since you have those energy slots in the CT, meaning you can still do something even after losing your arm. You will lose your right arm surprisingly often with a Gauss, both because of crits and because the arm will be the first part and last the enemy sees when you move out to take a shot.

I'm gonna try my -AH with the AC20 and SRMs, but I think it will work best using 3 SRM6+A and 3 mgs in the arm for crithunting.

Standard version :
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...a3fa8e5d930b926
(LB10 + 2xMG + 3xSSRM2 + BAP + STD200)

XL-version :
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...968c0ad55b9069a
(AC10 + 2xMG + 3xSSRM2 + BAP + XL255)

Anyway i think it's a good idea to run a XL on this Centurion varient cause you can't zombi with it : no CT weapons... And a lot of loadouts are very heavy (with AC/20 or other weapons).

Anybody make an LRM-boat for this yet? It looks like it'd be able to, but I don't really LRM much to know for sure.
