I am talking about how the reward change has lots of people carrying tag now for the Cbills. Not to help locks at all. Just for the money.
A multi-tag build is pretty much a LOL build for the most part anyways.
That is why they're carrying tag, but it doesn't matter WHY they are doing it. If they're holding TAG on their target, your LRM's fire tighter and track faster to that target. Their motivation doesn't matter, they're still doing something that helps you.
This also moves to nerf ECM. People who wouldn't bother with TAG before are doing so now, and punching through ECM shrouded mechs all over the place. For a player with Target Decay, this is often enough to allow you to get and hold missile locks you'd normally be unable to manage.

You missed a lot in your cave.
Indeed. There's been a lot of really great changes lately, and more on the way (next patch, even). PGI has really turned over a new leaf over the last few months.

In MW4:Mercs you could set up invidivual servers with any settings you wanted to. If you wanted games that were 1st Person or 3rd Person only you could force that by selecting that option as host. Want stock mechs only? You could do that. What NHUA or just NH or UA (No heat, Unlimited Ammo), select that setting. Want brawler only weapons? You could even restrict individual weapons. You could even restrict the way radar worked.
Since there is no option for that in Public matches, PGI should do something about it. Don't allow more than one TAG. I personally think there should be 2 though in case one torso/arm gets blown off a mech could still have another...
Why not allow more than one TAG? Or even two? If someone doesn't want to contribute, they aren't going to contribute. There's really no need to start locking down builds even more. It's not like they're getting anything for their trouble, they're just trolling. They'll troll regardless.
