Last couple of week i am noticing a fair increase. Last couple of weeks atleast a few.

I just reported another one who was in a Direwolf was intentionally firing at the start of the game, killed a Stalker and heavy damaged me. Not sure if the right thing to do(?) is to kill him, but didnt had much choice really. Also explained that in the report.

Anyhow, who also sees pretty heavy increase of grievers and intentionally teamkillers?

Ofcourse people do make mistakes when they accidentally kill a friendly teammate, that sort of things happens and should not be reason to rant over. But i mean really intentionally teamkilling from the start. And or damaging the team that the match is pointing to a loss.

I haven't noticed an increase. To me it still seems to be a rare occurrence.

i was TK'd 3 times in one day for just being in a Narc + LRM mech. I don't stand around and just launch either, I move about and stick with the team AND use my backup weapons as needed.

yea, all 3 times, they ran up behind me and alpha'd me in the back and dead.

there was a player in the LRM nerf thread who even admitted to doing such things.

i've noticed an increase of idiots who take some friendly fire as they try to kill steal or fire line que jumping so they relatiate and alpha cause a medium laser grazed them.

There little mechs then try to kill me so then my whale is forced to defend itself as they call in a mate to help them and then cry and moan as they both get wiped out.

thats sad, why would they do that to a mech who's getting his own locks? Perhaps there just anger from being lrmed in previous matches by others?

I will say this. There was (and may still be) a bug where random team mates don't get highlighted with a blue triangle. I think I died from this once (although he ignored my team chat inquiries as to why he killed me), and I started shooting a team mate I thought was an enemy ( until I realized he was firing past my team and at the enemy). I promptly apologized.

That could be causing some of the issues as well.

The IFF bug is fixed. Doritos for everyone!!! As to the OP, I haven't seen this behavior any more than usual, which is to say it's exceedingly rare.

Ran into a serial TKer today. We blew him up before he could take anyone else out. Someone on the other team was kind enough to DC to make it even and we ended up winning.

I killed someone accidentally who was hugging an enemy mech with my LRM's, but other than that I haven't seen any teamkills.

I ran into 2 the other night. I strongly suspect it was the same player on two different accounts after the first one was locked.

I dont see too many teamkillers to be more precise might be 1-3 per week wich is low.

Back than like 10 years ago in games like this I was "bad arss playa" I would imediatly teamkill back a teamkiller but when U think about it it really doesnt change/solve anything this is not IRL where ur actions have impact and than U are afther all only reducing ur teams chance to win and U are not alone in this match U still have bunch of teammates and no1 have right to ruin those games even more than they are.
So I am all for reporting all kinds of intentional teamkills.Time to grow up son.

About serial teamkiller even better let him do the job really let him kills U all take SS and report I m sure something like that will not be taken lightly by PGI.

@MeiSooHaityu I m pretty sure that bug is fixed at least I didnt notice it afther its being dealt with.
And even I got killed and my self killed 1-2 teammates when they were buged I apoligazed and they understud it.Anyway I felt so bad when that hapened.

Someone who shoots teammates intentionally, should be taken out very quick.
But that's really rare.

A bit more common is the old habbit of coming back to the game by clicking instead of alt-tab, resulting in a shot fired with the main weapon group.
This can happen but is also rare these days.

The most common thing to happen are people who run into your line of fire.
Sometimes this happens for a good reason, as the player tries to save his life before getting killed by a bunch of opponents. It's annoying but it can't be helped. I gladly accept a bit of friendly fire and won't blame anyone for it, if it means I can save my mech to be of use to the team for a few more minutes.

But often it is if someone wants to steal a kill and runs in front on purpose.
In these cases I won't waste alphas by turning away and that player might end up taking some damage...or some more.

I see a higher ammount of teamkills though, when people try to get a kill and don't care about the teammate they kill in the process.
That's just disgusting.

I am this close to start legging anyone who, instead of going around, prefer to drive through my Assault mechs and making my health 99% at the start of the game. Bloody annoying.

In the recent tourney the opposite was happening. The jerks were intentionally cutting in front of me to steal my kills since they know that I cannot damage them, cause that will lower my score.

That's one of the reasons In played something else other than MWO that weekend. B)

I've seen people purposely TKing at game start. Twice today, twice yesterday, but not for a while before that. Could just be a random spike of griefers.

Accidental FF during the fight happens. I've done it, had it happen to me, etc. I can be a fit of a face hugger sometimes, so I expect some FF from that. Something about pinning someone in a corner and looking him in the eyes as you unload is oddly satisfying, even if I do die from it sometimes. =)

As others have mentioned, the whole running into your fire thing is annoying. I try not to judge or assume their purpose... but it does suck when they end up dying because of it and I have to take a TK hit because they ran into my stream of fire.

The thing that confuses me is the players who stand right behind you and shoot at the enemy... and the ones who shoot me randomly when no enemy is around.
