I have another question for anybody @PGI.

The C-Bill and XP gained in the match are calculated towards the score. Does this include boosts from Premium Time, Hero, and Champion mechs? In other words, if I make 100,000 vanilla, that earns me 10 points, but if I use PT and a Hero, that earns me 180,000 , would I get ten points or eighteen points? Because it'd be a great way to sell heros and 3-day PT packages if the scored is caculated after /XP boosts.

I dont speak alien. What the heck does this mean lol.

Score Formula
  • Score formula: (kills) + (kill_assists × 2) + (spot_assist × 2) + ((damage - friendlyfire_damage) ÷ 15) + (cbills_earned ÷ 10000) + (xp_earned ÷ 100)
  • A player gets 1 kill, 3 kill assists, 6 spot assists, did 450 damage and 0 friendly fire damage, earned 100,000 CB and 450 XP:
    • Points = 1 + (3 × 2) + (6 × 2) + ((450 - 0) ÷ 15) + (100,000 ÷ 10,000) + (450 ÷ 100)
    • Points = 1 + 6 + 12 + 30 + 10 + 5 <- (4.5 rounded to 5)
    • Points = 64

Funk, it means you'll get a treat nearly every match. Don't sweat the details.

    • Points = 1 + 6 + 12 + 30 + 10 + 5 <- (4.5 rounded to 5)
    • Points = 64

1 Kill = 1 Point
1 Assist = 2 Points
1 Spot Assist = 2 points

As for damage, you can have a net positive or net negative points. You get positive damage points by hitting the other teams, you get negative damage points by hitting your own teammates. Its additive. For example, you did 150 damage to the other team, and you did forty five damage to your own team, thats 150 minus 45, which is 105. You then divide 105 by 15 to get how many challenge-points you get, in this case, you get 8.

For C-Bill earnings, it will rounded to the nearest whole 10,000 C-Bills. If you earn 102,000 C-Bills you divide by 10,000, leaving you with 10.2. which is then rounded to the nearest whole number (which is 10), meaning with 102,000 C-Bills you will get 10 points for the challenge.

XP is divided by 100, so 450 XP is divided by 100 to leave you with 4.5 points for the challenge, which is rounded to the nearest whole, 5, giving you five points for the challenge.

Thats about the best I can explain it through a computer. As Ertur said, don't worry too much, it should be fairly easy to get.

easy questions ...
Is the cbills and xp used the end of match totals? or subtotals?
Is the rounding always up? or up for >.5 and down for <.5? or up for cbills/xp and down for ff?

Thanks!

you explained it perfectly. Wish you were my math teacher. Thanks!

Do we need to play solo or can we play in a team?

Looks like a fun event.

Maybe trick will be that the Mech we were in stays unavailable for play. Or our forum title gets changed for us.

I can think of lots of fun tricks :)

I think this is going to be the funnest challenge yet. And with the low requirements they're not forcing people to bring out the boring big guns, I can just keep on grinding my Light mechs and qualify easily enough most matches.

Well thought out PGI and kudos!

Care to elaborate on how or why?
In my European time zone (CET) these events always start on Friday evening and lasts throughout the entire weekend. Couldn't be better - for me personally, that is.

No they are candy corn shaped arty and airstrikes. When you are hit with them you start puking in your cockpit all over your glass and cant see out your cockpit. Then you get to TP and egg the mechbay of the one who gave you that nasty candy!

So we still don't know once we qualify for a treat (after obtaining 30 points on a match) what is the percentage chance it gives us to win a prize. Is it 10%, 5% or 0.0001% ?

We don't know either about the "Players who achieve a qualifying score can reach their hand into the treat bag" I would suppose this score would be quite high after a match, but is it very high (say 100 points) or sky high (near perfect game)

What I want is a treat which give your Mech a Pumpkin head. Imagine a big ol Atlas with a Pumpkin head tearing enemy mechs apart ... now that would be a sight ^^
