It rewards poor play, and LRM boating so you get your assists...
a few of the recent events were done well... then we fall back into this garbage...

I am loving the extra C-Bills. Can't wait to buy and hop onto the Cheatwolf, then help PGI to nerf it.

I can get 500 dmg, 3 kills / 3 assists while trying to win, and not get 130 points, but some yahoo can sit back and get 7 assists and 100 dmg and they end up with over 130 and get the cbill bonus.

Eventually, PGI will figure out or discover a decent scoring model. Until then, it's whatever.

if your team wins, the 130 is not that hard, but it's still rewarding bad play...
I could care less about the cbills really... I have hero mechs and saved up premium time if I really need cbills... my problem was my weekend was just damn frustrating cause my teams didn't even feel like they were trying to win... just hit that mech for at least 1 dmg and move on right...

Let me compare two of my qualifying matches. One of which is one of the best matches I've played, and one of which is one of the worst matches I've played where I still managed to qualify.
1 kill, 8 assists, 739 damage, 12 spot assists, and match MVP - 219 points
0 kills, 10 assists, 300 damage, and really not that useful based on how much damage I spread around - 220 points
I'm thinking that kills and assists should be equal and that maybe damage should be 10 damage for 1 point rather than the 15 damage for 1 point that it is currently.

Keep in mind that if both are worth the same it will just be a damage competition. Think about the type of game play that would encourage... I don't like it. We do not need radical changes to the scoring for a better system, but to fine tune the value of assists in relation to kills.

This encourages damage, assists and getting kills, but the penalty for team damage is sufficient that shooting a teammate in the back to get an assist is not worth it.

200,000 probably would have been better.... 50x 130 point games to reach c-bill cap of 10 mill is probably the point when people should stop playing.
