Starting To Feel That The Hellbringer Is Doa

I have recently opened a home for DOA and unwanted challenge gift mechs or any mechs no one wants. I will give them a good home and some proper training. Our mech hospital will retool your DOA's and misfits and make them every thing they ever wanted to be plus they will feel loved here. You are not alone and do not feel ashamed just gift it to me and no one will ever know you had an DOA mech, our services are discrete. We are accepting these mechs via gifting that way you look to be honorable and a gracious giver instead of the loser DOA mech owner that you appear to be.
Don't be a loser, gift your mech to me today.

4 Machine Guns,
AMS
ECM,
this thing is friggin brilliant,
DOA? lol, some people are delusional, i want there drugs!
Actually all my long range configs work marvelous.
The problems start with mid short range, because CT becomes red in seconds.
No way to avoid it with torso twist, or even giving the back.
I hope PGi doesn't want to screw this hell of a mech for bad hitboxes. It would be a mortal sin.

Sounds like a case of fatal stupidity.
ECM is one ton. Nothing is more valuable than that right now.
There is one thing more valuable...
The knowledge on how to change modes on the ECM when needed.
To bad the valuable knowledge is totally lost on most pilots.

Very flexible mech. In some ways it reminds me of the Thunderbolt in that it has absolutely no shortage of hardpoints.

I'm just chiming in to correct the OP's use of terminology.
If an IS 'mech is unviable at launch, it is "D.O.A."
If a Clan 'mech is unviable at launch, it is "Pre-Nerfed."
Carry on.

PGI has developed a game that has given you so many advantages that, when they actually drop a Clan mech that isn't QUITE so ridiculous (Mist Lynx, Nova, and now apparently Hellbringer) when compared to the vast majority of IS mechs you whine and cry like someone ran through your sand castle at the beach. Don't worry kiddies, PGI won't let your crutch break on you, after all there's money to be made, for now at least.

It's a bit worse than the Awesome, actually.
The question is: Better or worse hitboxes than the Nova? If it didn't die quite so easily, it could be classified as good, as expected.
The thing survives about as long as a Mist Lynx, which does put a damper on that 'Good' classification. It does make me wonder if armour values are getting adjusted. Stock armour and huge CT could explain it.
Though, so would just a gigantic CT.

HBR-PRIME
6 ER Mediums
1 ER Large Laser (In the Head)
1 ECM
26 Total Heatsinks
Almost max armor except, -2 from head, -10 each leg

Ps: Though yes, I've noticed the big ct hitbox, even if that stays, this'll still be my favourite heavy clan mech

Like this, but with your weapons of choice. You can fix it when the boxes get fixed.

Yeah if it was as survivable as a Thunderbolt I would be happy with it.
Playing my T-bolt right now to level them up and there is absolutely no comparison to how durable the T-bolt is verse how fragile the Hellbringer is. What is worse is I don't think many people consider a T-bolt a durable mech in the first place.

Sure feels like it. Having the same issue, brief laze and down to internals. First shot, every match and I am stripped.

Mist Lynx is actually quite good and now one of my favorite mechs. Absolutely zero complaints about it. Nova used to be good before they crippled them with heat. Still the Nova as bad as it kind of is, feels much more durable than the Hellbringer. Honestly I am not asking much, just the same durability as a T-bolt and right now as I mentioned above, it isn't even close.

Yeah exactly. It would be a good mech, if the CT didn't cave when someone shot a spit wad at it.

I've been trying to make something out of this mech, but the lack of endo or ferro makes it rather problematic.
LRM Boat
Brawler
Brawler-v2
Are the ones I'm experimenting right now with.
I love small lasers on him. Helps a lot with weight problems and heat management.

Its not DOA... just fitted with the Bullet Magnet 2000 in the CT. Once thats sorted its going to be lethal and my new GO TO ride for Headshots. I had 4 in it from last night.
Scores well, and kills others fast before going down. Yes it will go down, fast, but it reaps cockpit shots and critical hits before it does!
ERLL in the Head, ERLL and 2 x ERML in the LT, ERML in the LA, 2 x MG in the RT, MG in the RA, Probe, 1/2ton MG ammo and LOTS OF heat sinks and max armour
http://Keira's Headhunter Hellbringer
To avoid some of you being challenged by so called hidden maths tests, ignore the premium results and look to the centre tables for the actually relevant info. Kills, assists, component destruction and damage done.
