Yep that is how bad the CT hitbox is.

In 40 matches which is what it took me to elite all three chassis thanks to this wonderful 2.5x XP weekend, I literally did lose my ST, not once.

In the 40 matches I played. I lost a arm once and on 5 separate occasions actually had the ECM torso go to yellow internals but that is as far as it got. The only reason I think my ECM torso got hit a few times is because people who didn't know how bad my CT was were actually trying to take out my ECM capability.

I even had one spectator exclaim to me in shock how fast I went from full CT armor to death. He said he had never seen anything like it.

So yeah, yet another thread pleading with PGI to modify the CT so that it doesn't take 90% of all damage fired at it. I realize that PGI probably did this on purpose in fear of its ability to mount ECM and how that could make it overpowered but they went way over the top and erred drastically.

It's not just the CT of the Hellbringer that is dropping fast. Played almost all day yesterday and had quite a few matches where one second my mech or a team mates mech was full strength and the next I or one of them was all but cored. And it didn't even look like we were hit by much to do that much damage. I'm not saying the Hellbringer doesn't have some CT issues. Because let's face it, a lot of new injected mechs start off with this issue. But I also think the nasty hit reg issue is getting a lot worse lately.

Iv seen people alpha 50, 60 damage into the back of a mech and it still walk away with its armor only showing yellow lol. But then have seen others get hit by very minimal fire and at tines it's as if all armor is stripped lol.

While I would love to agree with you, those issues are generally inconsistent which means yeah every so often something wonky happens and you die really quickly to some sort of weird hit registration. However, the issue I am seeing with the Hellbringer is consistent. I can be running full bore sideways to the enemy, maneuvering hard and twisting for all its worth and it seems anything that hits my mech generally registers on the CT. I mean normally when someone takes me under fire with lasers I will start moving and twisting to spread damage. Usually this results in my entire upper torso going yellow armor but normally I can exchange 4-5 volleys like this without ever going to internals. With the Hellbringer, first volley has me orange armor CT with yellow armor upper. Second volley has me at yellow internals with the STs still showing Yellow armor. Third volley takes me out with again, the side torsos still only showing yellow armor. This is one vs one against a mech of similar firepower.

Hell I tried to solo a Vindicator and he took me from fresh armor to dead before I got past yellow internals on him and this was in a straight up slugging match. He was so confident (or just didn't know any better) that he didn't even try to maneuver, rather he just stood there firing at me until I died.

um... Maybe PGI should make an announcement here as well lol. Not everyone uses Twitter and those using the Hellbringer that font use Twitter might like to know it is in fact a bug. I guess they rushed the patch out too fast lol. This should have been caught before the patch went live.

Well my concern is not the known bug of hits on the rear torso getting counted toward hits on the front torso, my concern is because he said aside from that, the CT hit box geometry was generally fine. The issue is that it is not fine, not even in the slightest so I want to make sure PGI is very aware of this fact.

I don't want an OP mech but I do want a fun and playable one.

Like I am being attacked by a swarm of bees but twisting doesn't do jack for this mech. Normally humanoid mechs are noticeable more defensive in nature due to twisting, not so with the Hellbringer. I have basically taken to twisting away about 120 degrees with my back slightly to the enemy if I want any hope of protecting my CT.

I'm getting the same results and I am twisting. The mech is not DOA but with the CT hitbox it can be crit very early into a fight. I have all three variants basic'd and the Prime is mastered. Probably took a dozen matches (with all the bonus xp) and I don't think I lost a ST or arms either.

So while those boxes are bugged, remove that side torso armor and bring more weapons, front load all your CT armor, and punch people

I honestly have no idea why you are complaining, we all knew what the hit boxes were before this Mech was playable.

I have no idea why you expect anything different from how the DGN plays.

They said the hit boxes are bugged. and WE had no idea the hitboxes before hand. The CT will probably be very big even after they fix it, but this thing is like all front CT. I don't own it, but my Misery has shot them in the back with an AC20, and hitting them in the front and coring them. They die so fast.

The hitbox bug is rear dmg going to front ct, (that's not always a bad thing).

Previously, the op stated that clan xl engines weren't an advantage, because he never lost his side torsos and always does through the center torso.

Eh, bugged hitbox isn't really bothering me. If I can make an Awesome and a Mad Dog work, this is a cakewalk. And this is an actual bug.
