Hi, Ive been playing for a while now but pretty much only in solo queue. Recently I was invited into a unit and am not sure what the dealio is with what mechs you can bring. Like if 3 or 4 of my friends are dropping in group queue can we all take assaults or do we need to keep the weight classes balanced some way? I searched the forums and the interweb a bit and couldn't find anything, but that doesn't mean its not there. LOL Id like to know so I can feel like less of a goofball when we drop together. Thanks for any help

In a group you can bring 3 of each weight class.
3 Light
3 Medium
3 Heavy
3 Assault
If you try to drop with more than that - the game will not let you
Keep in mind though - that that limit is for each group - so it is theoretically possible for you to drop against 12 assaults (or 12 lights) if the matchmaker gets desperate enough to pit you against 4 three man groups all using that weight class.

Yeah, the restrictions are per group not per team, so any group of players has a maximum of three of any particular weight class, but when pairing two or more smaller groups the matchmaker may bring in more than 3 of any wight class (just like the solo queue). for example two four-man groups who both have 2 Heavies could get put together in the same match resulting in a team with 4.
