Is there a list somewhere, what Mechs are used by which faction?

A lot of them are used by multiple factions, though some are only newly produced by a single faction.

Should be a list somewhere in the forums, I believe that the Marik mechs are listed in the faction area.

edit: Found it.

I'd just say browse the factions in Sarna, and decide based on which sounds best to you. Except for clans, because they are bad guys!!! If you want the the most free; of all the factions, that would actually be Rasalhague.

Bad is a matter of perspective really...

If you are Lao, I am sure the Davion's are monsters that want to eat your babies...

I'm a Ghost Bear, if anything we are one of the most free thinking and liberal of the Clans, everyone has a voice at our table, from the lowest tech to the Khan. Just look at what we did when we moved from Clan space, into our new dominion, we let everyone have their say about it.

On top of that, we've got beer and German chicks too!

It will be just a mater of taste.

Personatly, I know I will go first for the Clan Wolf, but after that I will probably change for the underdogs... Wasn't the House Liao the one creating the Raven?

And Stealth armour too!

By "bad," I'm of course lampooning the "us vs them" mentality that goes with every war. Each of the sides has their merits. I personally prefer Federated Suns because I like many of the characters that represent them, like Prince Victor.

I do agree however that Ghost Bear is probably the most liberal of the clans and easiest to like. They formed the Rasalhague Dominion after all!

Fanboy house Davion with their idealistic dream of Freedom which the Free Worlds League already has (it's even in the name)?

Stick with FWL Maelstroem, it will be a good time.

Oh hey, nice map in 3130 BTW. Nice having a cohesive nation amiright?

Oh I figured.

Personally, I'm a fan of some of the Ghost Bear Characters like:

http://www.sarna.net...jorn_Jorgensson
http://www.sarna.net...letha_Kabrinski
http://www.sarna.net...eresa_DelVillar
http://www.sarna.net...agnar_Magnusson

For my blood heritage in CBGI, I went with DelVillar, mainly due to her starting the Clan Ghost Bear habit of capture over kill...

On top of that we took a planet via a game of American Foot Ball!

I see a large group of states all with the same color. Try breaking up any other Great House into it's parts and see if they all wear their old color.

I don't know what I'm talking about, but go purple :D

Let the good-natured in-character lore bantering continue!

The Word of Blake Jihad tore the Free Worlds asunder, both from within and without. The provinces warred with one another and split apart in the 3080s, though they still banded together for mutual defense. In 3139, Jessica Marik reunited some of the former Free Worlds provinces under her leadership.

EDIT: Cleaned up the paste.

[RP]encase it has not been made clear, I am of the Warden branch of Clan Ghost Bear, I believe we should be the sword and shield of a new Star League, not the rulers of it. Let us watch as this new FedCom take its place at the head of a New Star League, then let us present ourselves and be the new SLDF as the Great Father had intended us to be.[/RP]

Fear not, a Nova Cat told me that the Bears will officially declare the Warden status when Victor issues his Trial of Refusal to the Clans on Strana Mechty. :D But who trusts those Cats anyways, mysticism is OP.

House Liao would be the most Slovakian, outside of Marik actually. Traditionally, House Liao has one of the most creative and loved military. The common public loves the military more than they love their ruler which is odd. Liao also has the most Social flexibility as you can move from slave to a General if you have enough merit, skill, or competency. That said, traditionally they are bad guys that no one likes because of Chancellor crazy.

House Marik for all its problems is more amiable I guess for having Polish, Slovakian background, but they also under go the most and biggest house strife. Yet, still manage to exist.

House Davion? There isn't much social flexibility, but you have freedom of speech.
Pretty much be a prince and save the world. Always the hero in the novels. Hence, why everyone hates them.

Plus you get to party with the Chinese and Russians with their Awesome Crab Camo. Green is the most practical color.
House Liao and House Marik both have cool sets of Mechs though.

I am not one to call their vision 'mumbo-jumbo' it has been guiding them for hundreds of years, and done them well. If it is truth, then I will stand with my Star at our boarders and hold position till told by my Star Captain to do other wise.

On aside, let the Crusaders that called for this blood, be the ones to choke on it.

Jade Falcon is filled with LRM boating assclowns like Chistu and Smoke Jaguar is (soon to be) dead. Can't really blame them.

Yes, Marik is the Balkans of the Inner Sphere. Hence them really being a coalition of several states who tend to get at each others throats every few decades.

Unfortunately Marik is probably the most underdeveloped factions in terms of lore of the big five. That tend sto happen when you don't have Clans busting your border and have no need to try and win back almost 50% of the territory you held 25 years ago.

Have a look at their list of planets: http://www.sarna.net..._League_Planets

You might encounter some places you know!

(being Dutch I noticed that the FWL seems to have only one planet with a Dutch name 'Gouderak'. I know there are others out there like 'Ridderkerk' (where I actually work right now) and 'Zoetermeer'. (though both of those are in Steiner space.......until the Clans conquered them....)

3138? Little jump into the future isn't it?

The Davion's were not free of their own breakaways either....

A little sooner than reaching out to 3138 too. (3072)

Yeah, Katherine had her tissy fit and split up one of the greatest unions in the Inner Sphere. The Federated Suns remained whole throughout. I mourn the FedCom though.
