Lots of bugs.

Only got one match in so far, out of a dozen-ish tries.

But... oh man, this is looking like it could be *good*.

Once the wrinkles are mostly ironed out :D

What are all the CW maps? And do they have the same basic layout on them all?

And been shot at and everything...

Defending is a blast - attack is tough.

Of the maps, I think Rift has better cover and approaches - Boreal seems a lot more open.

1 Defence Win and 2 Attack losses.

Yup. First 3 hours were nothing but failed to find match, basically, or getting dumped back to mechlab and such. But the two matches I got into were a lot of fun.

Attacking is, it seems, the suck.

If you do make it past the gates, and manage to push past the first line of defence, you're invariably pretty beat up and die - then both Boreal and Sulfurous make you run for an age to get back to the fight - by which time defenders have respawned and retaken the ground you died for.

Need to have the drop ships drop you forward of the normal spot once you take the gates down perhaps? Something to even out the time it takes for attackers to get back to the fight in any case.

I'm thinking that breaking the gates could be followed by establishing a forward base which has a few turrets and the new set of spawn points.

Or maybe just mobile HQ somewhere on half way. Which defenders could destroy with counter attack.
Anyway, would be nice to cut some distance.

Seriously, the leader of the group can sign a 28 day contract without consulting anyone? And condemn me to 28 days of trial mechs because I don't own any Clan mechs???

Then it costs 1,120,000 to break a contract someone else signed, yet the contract still continues for 2 days anyways?

Stuck in trial mechs for 2 days after paying the penalty anyways. Not happy.

That sounds like a problem with your unit leader if they don't consult the members before signing a contract. You should find a new unit.

I can see the reasons behind penalizing the breaking of a contract. I also think that all Clan contracts should be permanent. Just my opinion, but I find it strange that the clans would hire Mercs...

... I'd like to thank PGI for making something special happen. I came back to the game after four or five days away to discover a quirks update, a flurry of Faction-related activity on new maps/modez, and to top it off a shiny 'Mech...making this game a truly AWESOME experience! Whoever is responsible has my applause and appreciation.
...as do my fellow players.

It's a very rewarding experince, when you manage to win against a premade clan team with random IS dudes :D

You just need one person to step up and do some coordination / leadership and your solo ragtags can actually become a somewhat effective fighting force :D

Thank you for CW PGI.
As rough as it is. I do appreciate the fact that that CW is finally here and the only game I was in was a blast. (even if most everyone didn't know what the hell was going on)

Keep this up PGI and I might open the wallet again.

Great to see. Keep up the good work..I know it's Beta but......
My 2cents worth...
Long wait times ,Actually had a crash to desktop upon launch, first time in ages and myFPS is really bad in CW. We are talking anything between 11 and 20...basically unplayable,
but I will still try the odd match ..just too much fun to ignore...

Right.....dear PGI, how about making a manual? I'm trying to launch with 2 other friends of mine, and we're not getting it? This whole Faction launching thing is boggling the mind.... -_-
