wait for the notification at the bottom then go to that planet
that still does not mean you will get in. Once you except the attack/defend notifications and go to that planet, you are put into the waiting que as each planet has only 1 battle going on at a time. The Match maker takes full pre-made 12 man groups over everyone one else in the que, even if you are a solo guy and ahead of other in the que. The match maker will keep picking 12 man pre-mades over everyone else in the que. Unless there are no pre-made 12 mans. Then the match maker will form 12 mans out of whoever is there and drop those units against each other. But the long wait times for a lot of people are because the match maker keep bumping people and taking the 12 man pre-mades and or that you are waiting for the 1, 30 minute battle to finish before the match maker will pick the next groups to battle.

The fact that there is ONLY 1 battle going on at a time and not multiples is causing long wait times and because the match maker is constantly pulling the full 12 man pre-mades into battle over everyone else. Some solo players/small units may never get into a battle on some planets as long as 12 man pre-mades are there.

This matchmaking mechanic is just plain broken. It is made for 12 man pre-mades. Others need not apply. So don't. I've gone back to the working modes of the game in the hope PGI will eventually take this issue seriously and fix it. So far, they don't seem to care at all. Pretty amazing.

if only we can see who is queueing in what planet. PGI should fix the lobby screen ASAP. It will be much better to find matches that way

What he said ^

At least give us a number, something like "there are 8 players queueing up to attack ______ would you like to join them?"

PGI, I really want to play your new content. I can't, I can not get into a match. Some of the planets that had the pop ups calling for defenders or attackers tonight, starting at 6 pm, are still calling for them almost 4 hours later.

You put groups as the prefered method for Match maker, BUT YOU PROVIDE NO METHOD TO CREATE A GROUP OUT OF PEOPLE WAITING IN THE GAME. It is like holding out a yummy cookie, and then slapping my hand with a yard stick when I reach for it.

I am going to go play Skyrim the rest of the night. Kharjo is probably sitting in the Bannered Mare on a bench holding his tankard yet, smiling at me waiting to start another adventure.

I've taken it to "Logged-out due to inactivity" twelve times, and many other shorter attempts. Attempted many planets, and many different dropship load-outs. Out of the many, many, many attempts, I've been in ONE match, a counter-attack on an empty base.

Really, this is what I, and multitude others, have patiently, and not so patiently at times, waited two years, and put much, much, much money into? Come on, I know they slapped a beta label on it, but this ridiculous.

Currently waiting for the "Thx for the money, now get lost" email from PGI.

Go read the actual thread explaining how the planet ques work. There can be dozens of battles going on at a planet at the same time, spaced at least one minute apart.

I've found choosing an attacking planet much more likely to get a game than choosing a defending planet.

The matchmaker really needs to show how many are currently queing for a planet so we can make an informed decision, instead of just hoping there some people waiting to attack/defend these planets.
