Every single drop is attacking vs clans, whether I click to defend or not. Clans win 95% of the time by virtue of map design and superior range, so there is no point to playing the game mode.

You do have other options than attacking the Clans you know.

I am in total agreement with the OP. However, don't expect many others to voice that here. Clanners will attack this post with a vengeance. For most, it is their only chance at consistent wins, as they couldn't pilot a IS Mech and show true skill.

I love posts like these. Reasons:

a) I LOVE Sarna-Stock Summoners. Soooooo I don't meta unless the drop leader requires it.
b ) Even when we are running meta in a 12 man. We have lost PLENTY of matches to IS.
c) have half of you even played clans? I have played both. I love my 'pults ( have an f-pult), and LOVE IS lights. Commandos are just freaking fun.

As for the lack of skill, I know I personally got 24th in the Commando bracket last chassis tourney. I actually prefer the IS lasers and auto-cannons. WAY better than clan lasers. WAY less face tanking. IS doesn't have Summoners though :/

If this particular post gets attacked its for good reason.

Que up for an attack and wait...

The problem is that people, ESPECIALLY Dracs right now, don't know HOW TO ATTACK!.

We need to be attacking, there's a reason the DC has been loosing planets, and it's because all we do is que up in the defend field.

WE NEED TO BE ATTACKING, ANYWHERE. frankly. We need to expand, or CSJ and GB and Davions are going to eat us alive.

You don't see a point in playing, because you don't understand how it works... take some time and figure it out, get a twelve man kurita unit together and que up for the attack against IS units, ect.

hmm. I think we are doing it wrong cuz not a single guy in out unit runs anything but brawlers. (if they do, they don't admit it)

OP is right. You can do an effective attack with a 12 man, but not a bunch of IS pugs. IS pugs need defense just to have a chance. Every pug on attack, my team loses consistently.

Please note, Brawlers does not constitute multiple streak 6 launchers.

Tired of seeing that little bit of cheese being run around in CW.

well, wouldn't have to if some of the is didn't drop in 12 man light rushes. And/or clans had a comparable light to counter them...

Funny, I'm IS and think OP is completely off base and should get off of his tush and learn what works in this game and what doesn't.

Fact is, defenders get to fight, attackers need to rush....learn to love it. Is what it is. Until PGI offers more, and hopefully better maps, these are the tactics you'll see. Lamenting them and crying about a portion of the player base, like it is their fault is foolish.

Use the post-quirked IS mechs to their strengths, don't play peekaboo with Clan long range laser boats while attacking and move with a sense of damned purpose. You'll win more often being agressive than trading bs shots.

or you know, you could deploy your defenders "AHEAD" of where the attack will happen, instead of relying on reactionary tactics to "Chase" down said lights.

You know, similar to what our IS units have to do.

Ironically you are talking to people who were jumping their own gates on defense to make a push impotent before it even happened.......

Or we could just keep using the tools we have available, streaks, just like you can keep using your superior IS lights.

Funny thing is...when i drive my IS mechs, i have a lot more kills = more Cbills.

So explain me this if its no skills?

Between, to make more damage with clan lasers you need to hold longer the beam on the same part...since longer duration....its a little easier on big mechs but fast one...good luck.
I must say, since i pilot clan mechs my skills on IS energy weapon have increase...since with clan energy weapon i need to hold the beam way much longer to do decent damages. try to do decent damage with a c er large lasers at 700 m on a fast target....then we could talk about the ''skills'' thing.

Oh and lets not forget to higher heat on clan energy weapons....wich you must always look at.

I personaly love to pilot mechs where i can give a good brawl to my adversary. Because i feel that i fight him with honor.

Is it written by the Devs somewhere that CW is for groups? I've never seen it, but if it is, please post a reference. And if it is, then why would they allow solo drops. If the game is skewed to advantage groups in an attempt to get more people to join a group then many of us will be left out, and PGI will not receive my cash any longer. Not that it matters, but the point is, it is after all a game. And while many of you are absorbed by "the lore" just as many couldn't care less about it.

So, why not allow 12 man groups to drop only against 12 man groups? Fact is, your wait time would increase dramatically. Fact is, you need the solo droppers and the "pugs" or the quality of your game play diminishes.

IMHO that should be the case, groups drop against groups, and solo puggers drop against solo puggers. End of arguments. Groupies don't have to fight against us unorganized solo drops, and us solo drops don't have to fight against groupies. But that would be the end of the seal clubbing by organized mobs, and that won't sit well with some.

im really trying not to but,
your attacking Clan, acting like they are, as they were Pre-Nerf,
saying that if we are attack you post, its because your right,
that Clan are no Skill, and we need to play IS to get Skill,
am i right in what your trying to convey to us?

um this post,... isnt it just abit like,...
filling a Propane-Tank wail Smoking?

also i love my LCT and i love my NVA,
i play both and have fun in both,

If you see me on the battlefield, you ll see that all my mechs are made to brawl. They aren't specialize in long range or LRM.

If someone ever ask me to a Duel, i ll always make it (sure if my mech aint crit everywhere vs a 80% and over health, it will be harder to give a good fight)...but the problem is that you always have the team that want the kill wich make dueling nearly impossible.
