Thunderbolts with ERPPCS only.

There is little to no varience in builds now. Its all ERPPCs on thunderbolts.

I would like to see a change to thunderbolts. This "Meta" is not enjoyable especially in PUG matches.

You have said you didnt want players boating long range weapons especially PPCs yet this is what players are currently doing. AGAIN

Double heat quircks are far to powerful.

In CW the problem is even worse with most cordinated groups only droping thunderboltz.

I also see more Awsome Q's daily with 4 ppc builds.

I think you're forgetting that the most of any class a group can bring is 3 in a pug drop. Also, while the 9S is now a CW mainstay they are hardly swinging the CW battles on their own. With quirks on most mechs, it tips the build toward whatever the quirked weapon is.

Varience in builds and styles is what keeps this game fun.

MECH WARRIOR ERPPCS BATTLES is really just not fun.

I have seen many a Cataphract, Stalker, King Crab, Thunderbolt, Timberwolf, and Dire Wolf boating weapons of various types. It's been an issue since the first iteration of this game as you know as a founder. The only solution they've had thusfar is ghost heat. Seems the issue you have is with boating in general. You can't stop one mech from boating and then allow all the others to do it. Boating in one form or another has been in this game since the 80's.

The ERPPC should be slow to fire, hot to use and deadly when it hits.

15/15, 5s CD, no heat quirks, and a max fired at a time of 1.

IMO, the TDR-9S quirks are overdone. ERPPC heat reduction should be 25% max--just like AWS-9M.

If the worst IS Assault mech that is designed to carry 3 ERPPCs gets 25% to ERPPC heat reduction, then TDR-9S, which is far from the worst Heavy, should not get 50% heat reduction.

PGI's own balancing rule dictates that firing 3 PPCs at once should be heat prohibitive--PGI broke its own rule with -50% heat quirk.

If you brought both the ER PPC heat and Energy heat gen quirks down from 25% to 20% it could work without hitting it with the nerf bat of doom. The 9S is a good IS counter to clan range.

You cannot compare one variant being good with PPCs with the old time when all Mechs were boating them.

Also, as a clanner, you should be used to see a lot of Timbergod on one side; IS having a Top Tier Mech able to counter those Madcats is part of the solution. Even if, in the end, those 2 Mechs (TBR and TDR-9S) should be a little less powerfull.

If they nerf the TDR-9S, then suddenly Innersphere will be lacking any sort of counter to Clan range on Boreal Vault. We kinda need the 9S to be able to stand a chance at playing their game.

Though, going from 25% to 20% wouldn't hurt it too much, I reckon.

I think a reduction to 40% would be fine; as it stands...isn't it less heat than normal PPCs back when they had the 3 second cooldown and every mech had multiples?

Though, I can't remember if it was 7 or 8 heat for a normal PPC...This 9S is at 7.5 for an ERPPC.

but if IS player get sth like TDR(ERPPC),DTR(MPLasers),AWS(ERPPC) and LCT with ERLLasers it is OP and needs to be nerfed....please give me a break....or l2p brah

I frequently use erppcs on my mechs. There is a real problem giving 1 mech a trifecta of heavy erppc buffs. It's way over done. Forget about IS vs clan what about IS vs IS in that regard? Nothing else comes close to such rediculous buffs. Having 3 er ppcs generate less heat than 2 erppcs on all other chassis, Fire and cool down faster is just too much.

I am not a Clanner but even I can tell imbalance when there is one. If the IS must cheese one over-quirked mech to counter the Clans, then there are clearly some balance issues.

The ER PPC is too terrible for a mere 25% heat quirk to make it attractive. If you nerf the 9S to 25% heat gen then the 9S will be abandoned entirely. Pilots will switch to something with ER LL instead (either the 5SS with its huge energy range or maybe a SHD-2K).

In my opinion, the heat gen quirk needs to be at least 33% (maybe as high as 40%) for the 9S to be viable. Anything hotter will just get torn up by ER LL and Gauss snipers. For balance reasons it would be better if our snipers had lower DPS output, but that's not how weapons are balanced at the moment. The ER PPC cannot compete with those other weapons unless given huge quirks. You must be able to suppress enemy sniper fire (i.e. fire more than once) in order to be effective in the role.

Anyone see a clan emblem next to my name?

Didn't think so.

The TBolt Meta is becoming as broken and boring as the old poptart meta, especially for CW. We get it, you don't want your precious new uber lightning gun nerfed because you are getting good stats.

Get them with a non broken mech.

Or perhaps, instead of boating it, people will mount a pair of them and other more balanced weapons?

Crazy thought, I know.

So why this thread?

Have you problem with aiming at long distance?
Have you problem with getting close range while piloting a brawler?
Do you want a game designed on your on skills?

Solutions: choose one:
a: L2P
b: Deal with it

I see a lot of people complaining about the OP Timberwolf but no one ever says what makes it OP.

Do some of you people coming in here to defend the Thunderbolt even know what the quirks are?
