well been meaning to for a while, and the outher guys thread inspired me. So im renovateing and i thaught i would fix up a new desk while i was at it. The plan is that all my pc stuff can be out the way over there so it can be neet looking and awsome and leaving me alot of room. so i have to make it to hold my server and my main pc.

I'm useing 20x38m strip pine for this. should be fun!!!

Looking good. My computer currently will run MWO just between the minimum and recommended requirements. I am a console player but I would never play any Mechwarrior on console. So I think I'll keep my computer how it is until a new MW comes out and renders mine useless.

finihed for today, went to wicks because b n q had no angle brackets saw there wood was alot cheaper could have got some real meaty logs for the same price as b n q sigh to late to change it now tho even tho the wood im useing is only 20mm X 38mm it will still be strog enough it just takes more effort than if u have a nice meaty log

Looks cool. :( But did you type the OP from a mobile phone or something? lol. Annoying to read, so I gave up. Pictures are cool though and good luck with it.

Judging by the sockets you are in Europe and english is not your first language. I would recommend typing in your native tounge and using a translation site, it may not be perfect but at least everything will be spelled correctly. Looks like a interesting setup I will be following this one.

Oh and Sexy Little Devil case you got there man, always wanted to try one of those out.

Guess that is why I didn't have any issues reading it (dyslexic to) :)

Anyhow get a spell checker for your browser, at least firefox and chrome have it, not sure about IE, but IE is evil so you shouldn't use it anyway.

ok iv'e been at it all morning and almost there now!!!
the basic frame is all done the battons on the top are just to support the worktop there not structual so slightly smaller screws apart from the 2 in the middle which also support the middle joists

now thats done its time to start with the add-ons which will creap in as time goes on but i had the stuff lying arround to put this in so i did it now. its for my sound systm which was locked up outside since my server just uses HDMI via a 6770 but once this is all complete im going back to my main rig which i took the psu out of when i baught the server so its gonna get it back and the server will be out of action till i find a cheap PSU with 2 8pin cpu cables. in anycase my main rig uses digital optical audio out the back of the Crosshair V so ive put in beackets to mount the main box out of the way ill just use some leftover plywood from the work top to make it secure

now just got to wait for my roommates delivery so we can go down to b n q and carry the worktop back!!

The top fit looks great! May be countersink the top screws a bit.

So what are you going to use to finish the top? Paint and a hard-finish sealer of some sort? Laminate?

painted a bit, used a cheap rller for most of it which was a bad idea there was ALOT of lint so took some sandpaper to the worst bits and went over them again. once its dry i will give it anouther thinner coat of black and then varnish.
