this seems to be the "normal" purchase page, with a link to "gift" purchases at the bottom, but am checking with Russ, just in case.

But if you bought it by mistake as a gift, and don't have a redeem code, I would contact support. But it appears some people have already been gifted theirs?

If I'm honest with myself, I buy packs for two reasons only:

1) I can't earn c-bills fast enough, even with Premium time and using prior Champ/Hero Mechs to grind c-bills.

2) I want more Champ/Hero Mechs so that the c-bill grind isn't as bad.

On a related note, I haven't bothered to play any of my non-Prime Clan Mechs. They're just not necessary. Sure, a couple have an extra CT hardpoint, but most of them don't so you can make that build on a Prime chassis. I level the non-Primes through basic using GXP, then actually play the Primes all the way through master.

So... since the Clan Reinforcements don't include any Champ/Hero Mechs, and the variants themselves aren't needed (just the omnipods), I just don't see the need to buy them.

I saw you got some direct connection to the developers a page or two before in this thread (twitter)...I don´t know where else to put this question (except "slow" Support), maybe you could ask politely for some info about his issue?

edit: Ok using the link you provided, it´s listed as "owned", and if I use the "buy as gift" option right lower corner, an extra window opens asking you to accept term of law of gifting or similar, guess that is the actual "gifting" option. So I think call me in as an owner!

circumvention is active in other Urbie threads too, and just as insulting in those. From his posts he's labouring under the assumption that development of the UrbanMech will take time and effort away from those aspects of MWO he likes, and feels an urge to insult the community because of this. There are several things one might infer from such behavior, and none of them are particularly edifying. If it is a sock puppet account, it's even more depressing to witness.

But, hey ho. Once circumvention learns to share and realizes the development of MWO doesn't revolve around him or his expectations, he might loosen up and start enjoying the game and community a little more. And we will be here to welcome him back to the fold - especially if he joins us in sharing the Urbie-love

The people who work on Mech assets are different from the ones who work on map assets and debugging. The only thing this does is maybe delay the release of other mechs (and judging by the same day release of new clan variants doesn't even do that) and puts money into the pockets of PGI to make a better game.
