Almost forgot, I am waffling on the Urbies. On one hand I just bought the 2 KCs that just came out, but I will have them at least Elited by April, well maybe, life is kicking my butt, what with chess tournaments on top of basketball games, not counting homework etc (Protip: In addition to being expensive on the order of I can buy a car for that, private schools can be a grade level or so ahead of "normal" so homework and projects can be a real *****) so may not get them leveled, and still need to Elite (or sell) 1-3 Commandoes......so really waffling on the $20 package. On one hand I want to help out, but on the other what else am I going to do with all those Cbills? Spent 20 on KCs, then DHS on one, plus weapons etc and still have over 10m laying around. Module prices piss me off, so not buying more than one or so (run diff builds in CW FTR).

Then again payday is Friday, so we will see. Of course have some buyer's remorse over WL2 (yes I played the original in the 80's, I'm old, get over it!!) so plunking down more money on a game.......

Now I know little about CW tactics, so this strategy may be way off base, but here it goes...

Urbanmech is a light mech that could be used to take heavier mechs to fill out your drop deck.

But, also, might not be terrible on defense I'd imagine. On defense, it doesn't need to be fast. It can just set up near the base and become a 360° A/C 10/20 mobile turret. A few of those can't be too bad. Even a PPC or Laser turret (since they would be rather ammo strapped).

I wouldn't use it as an attacker, but I could see it having some value on defense.

Again, just seems that way on the surface, I have hardly played CW so I might be way off base.

Gday all,

Congrats on all players helping to support the game and their fun. I know the the Urbie has a special place in many player's hearts and I understand this and thank PGI for listening to the players.

I won't be purchasing the Urbie because it really does not appeal to me. I don't feel bad about this as I pre-purchased the full Resistant pack as well taking advantage of the great deal offering of 30,000 MC at Christmas time. To me I think I have done my support to this game (as well as many other purchases in the past) for the short term.

This certainly does not mean I won't be spending money in the future though.

I truly hope you guys/gals enjoy the Urbie once she arrives on the battlefield.

tweaked speed over 100 (180 lvl engine) sounds about right for top range to me. don;t want to see poor locusts getting lapped by the urbie after all. and would be a decent balance between speed/firepower- can have a "fast" urbie but no ac20 (lasers/MGs) or an ac20 urbie with king crab speed.

(now expects to be shown a smurfy link of an ac20 urbie with max speed and 1 point of armor )
