LOL, you dont even make good cbills in a champ mech, on premium in a good game as an average player....bads are screwed royally.....

avg games for me net like 100-120K, a bad game is less then 100k..a really bad one will barely net 60K.....

If you cant even get a bad game, you will play 1,000 games and not even be able to buy a friggin Large laser....let another a mech.

Rewards in this game need to be jacked back up. Premium is not worth it when it increases your payout from 100K to 150K. But if they increase your payout from 200K to 300K, or if you do really well, 400K to 600K, see, that is a worthy increase.

100K should be like the minimum you get paid in a game. 50K if you did 0 and lost....but a win and a decent game, 100K for a win, 150-200K just for dmg, another 50K for other stuff.

The mechs I actually own are the:King Crab-000, NVA-Prime, JR7-F, And last and definitely the least the locust LCT-1E(Hate it most fragile mech ever)

Click the link in my sig for tips on how to work locusts (go to the pages near the end, and ask the players there for advice, the OP is outdated, and I will be updating it tomorrow.)

As for the other mechs. I will go to sleep for now, but tomorrow, I should have several builds for you, with different styles of play to help you out.

Take LRMs,Tag and spam them. You get kill assistes or kills outright.

Have seen it plenty in the past.

As someone said already:

1. Try to find the "right" mech for you. (I love for example fast mechs). You will do better with those, especially when you get some experience

2. My money-maker is my LRM boat (Trebuchet 7M), I don't really love that mech but it rakes up good kills, destroyed components etc

Rather than a suicide charge, have you tried the glaser assist method of earning money? You sit back with one or two ER-Large lasers and try to tag every mech on the enemy team at least once from long range. Of course you'll want to lay in damage on mechs that are slow, shut down, or not paying attention to you, but the primary goal is to farm assists before making an active effort to target specific mechs.

1. Find a mech that suits you. To be considered:
- Typ (Light, Medium, heavy or Assault)
- tech-base: Inner Sphere or Clans ? While both have basically the same stuff, the Clan's have the more potent stuff. For instance, their weapons have a longer range and more damage-output. But the often need a bit more skill (Their lasers, for example, burn longer, so you have to keep up the aim at your target for longer.)
- speed: wanna go fast ? exclude assaults and heavies.
- wanna have lots of armor and weapons ? exclude lights and mediums
- hardpoints: how many, what type (balistic, energy, missiles), and where (high hardpoints vs. lower hardpoints)
- what weapons suit your playing style ?
- in short: its the right combination of mech, weapons, equipment AND the pilot.

2. Try to become a better player.
- watch Kanajashi's videos -> here.
- this video includes some good tips in a real match: MechWarrior Online - Like A Surgeon
- in general: the longer you live, the more exp and Money you will can make.
- stick with your team, at least with some of them.
- Be patient. This is probably the most important virtue in this game.

3.: Stop judging your teammates without knowing why they do what they do.

My King Craff is 48 kph and I still manage to be the 1st one in combat that's how cowardly people on this game are.

(Don't take this personal; you are not the only one doing it, btw. And even i do that from time to time.)
You should rather find out why they do what they do; ask them. Politely, not in an offending way. Like:
"Any particular reason why we have stopped here ?"
vs.
"Why are you such cowards ???"
While most players are rather silent, you might get a reply sometimes.
The first question is more likely to get you an answer, the later one not so much. ;)

As i said, patience is a virtue in this game. I agree that there is a fine line between "waiting" and "waiting to long".
Being the first one into combat means you die first, when your teammates don't follow you.
So if you see they don't follow you, but you go anyway - then it's not your teams fault when you die. They are NOT your servants.

If you want to charge, why don't you ask your teammates to follow you ?
Say where you want to go to, and if someone wants to join your charge.
It did work for me... sometimes. ;)

See you on the Battlefield ! :D

Just wanted to dispel this rumor. I've seen this said so much that a buddy and I tested this tonight, and you DO indeed get assist credit on mechs even after you leave the match. He tagged several enemy mechs with damage, died, showed 0 assists on his death screen, left the game, and at the end of the game (I stayed in) the scoreboard showed him with 5 assists.

Myth busted.

My personal license to print money is (ac5/uac5)x3 + maximum amount of ml ilya muramets + premium.
Uac5 lets you spew out ammo like nothing else, but pretty much means you will be out of ammo late in the match. Ac/5 has 3 tons more ammo and no annoying jams.
Now if only those damned arms werent slung so damn low.

You're usually better off living long enough to shoot at most/all of the enemy team rather than getting focus fired in seconds and earning practically nothing.

Eh, I didn't know that. You can't DC after death and still get cbills?

Good suggestion. Find what works for you. For instance I do OK in my Hellslinger, BUT the teams win more when I drive it than other Mechs. More Wins more money. Champion Mechs also help, even on a loss you still get what ...30% more cash.

LRMs can get you more assists which earn you money pretty quick, If used correctly they also help your team win since you can add your damage to what a brawler is doing already an extra 15-40 damage every few seconds helps end the enemy threat faster.

I play hard and play well and earn 250-425 K per match (usually last 7 minutes) with premium time and a hero mech.

step1: Scout as many mechs as possible (r-key is 2000 cbills a press)
step2: Shoot every enemy at least once. (assist money)
step3: kill as many enemies as you can.
step4: Don't kill team-mates.

If you are the first person to lock a mech you get a scouting bonus of $2000 -- just for pressing R (collect all 12 for $24K for pressing a key 12 times). Last time I had something that easy was when I took that tootsie-roll from the 9-month old in the park.

Ive been earning C-bills pretty quickly playing only lights and running straight into the enemy team, its not that effective but it doesn't take long to die and get into another game and its hilarious because they all freak out and start shooting their team mates. How do you guys earn C-bills quickly, im looking for other methods.

One Word...Bundles...Premium + Hero Mech + Champion Mech = Large Bag-O-C Bills & XP's. This is known as A Good Thing.

Quote

running straight into the enemy team, its not that effective

Figured that out all by yourself? :P Wish I had a dollar for everytime I did that! You might want to look at bigger mechs, and try walking unless there is a good reason to run.

Play the game and learn what types of play styles you are good at. Myself I am very good with lights and heavies and I started closed beta as a lrm specialist to the point anyone who played regularly back then would know my exact mech and loadout every match. You might be good with assults like an atlas walking into the blob of the enemy team and punching them with ac and laser fire.

I have all the mechs you do except the nova. Try diffrent weapon systems on your mechs even idiotic-what-the-heck is he thinking types. Er ppc on your locust? Sure can. Use the xl 170 and four heat sinks to fit it. Want to crab up in someone's face and get them to go change their now brown pants? Put two ac 20s, a standard engine with case on your side torsos.

You can also join a unit to play with a group of people who can tell you diffrent ways to try things and support you instead of the solo que derps a lot of matches have. We had someone say they were trying to go as a lrm boat so we had three or four mechs with tags, narcs and uavs to help our lrm buddy. Check out the warpigs. Warpigs.ca. We do a bit of every thing from community warfare, public drops and unit only silly private match stuff for the fun.
