I found these strange MechWarrior 4 Vengeance Mech cards and i have no idea where they came from. All my dad (the person who bought MW4 for me) knew about them, was it was only given to the most die hard MechWarrior fans. Here's pictures of the cards

Please help me find the origins of these cards

... I've never seen those.

I wonder if anyone's seen VON or any of the MW4 developers online lately...

Greetings,

reference the cards,
- can you identify the artist(s) of the images on the cards?
(might help if they are available and know where those cards were from.)

Also, PGI does have someone within there Dev. team that was around and actively working on BattleTech during the FASA era.
- there are enough BattleTech fans here that with enough time someone will id just what they are.
- And how rare they could be!

I suggest you ask Johann Eddie HADERER !

PS: If you look at the backside of the ARGUS (1/15), you see that they have a 2000 copyright from Microsoft ... so at least you know the YEAR when they were made and the publisher

It's not the GOTY edition because I remember the box was standard. My idea is unlikely but it's possible. Maybe when my dad bought it he preordered it and got it from the store.

They could also have been prototype cards or cards given out at places like E3 during early Alpha/Beta plays and these may have been hand outs. If they were convention hand outs then it would make sense there is no official or unofficial website that advertised them. If they were for a CCG they would have been advertised by MicroSoft or whatever published them. If they were collectibles they would have been in the boxes for the games hence no information on them. If they were hand outs at places like E3 and Conventions then they would also not have official publicity.

That would be even more strange because my dad said he has never been to a game convention because he didn't see the point

My dad told me that he owned almost all the sidewinder controllers and almost all the Microsoft games so he pre-ordered MW4 from Microsoft and picked it up at Future Shop and when he opened the box the cards were there

i seem to recall these coming in the original package of a bundled set with vengence, black knight and mercs all in one box (which i dug out of a bargain bin).
