I think its beautiful!

I think a nose would look stupid.

Now its like a skull.

I think it's horrendously ugly. It's the most god-awful looking head they've ever designed. Makes me want to take a claw hammer to my monitor.

In short, it's perfect.

But why do you need to run from only 25 tons of weapons and heatsinks?

Well, if physical attacks were implemented, this is a 95-ton monster that can keep up with enemy mediums and heavies and rapid kick their legs off B) 19-point damage kicks! Not to mention the death-from-above maneuver from this thing! When stock, it has a LOT more leg armor than torso armor since mobility is so important to the chassis. Plus it reinforces the legs during physical combat.

Why does it matter so much?

This isn't like the Invasion Gargoyle variant that looks like Pedobear.

Seriously... if it affects hitboxes or balance, then sure. If it doesn't, I don't honestly care.

can chase down even most mediums with ease.

The cockpit is where the nose should be. As an assault with a giant head on par with the Atlas, the eye slits should be sufficient for vision.

I have never seen this artistic take on the head. It was a nose wasn't it? We see the side profile shot in the original 3050 TRO. TRO:3050U somewhat resembles a window, but it is certainly not definitive.

Logically the nose makes no damn sense anyway. A cockpit window should be in the centre of the face. They'll probably have a canon-accurate face variant like they did for the Gargoyle.
