Well, not for me, i know how to hide behind things.

Rest of team complains if we lose to LRM cuz some other guy on the team wasnt nice enough to bring one.

Maybe you should read the post - even if you have AMS on a big open map you'll get rained on with LRM, no matter what 'mech you are piloting, but it's even worse for those running assaults. You must not PUG much because that's what I see in at least 75% of the matches I am in.

Plan A: Do not be out in the open with an extremely slow mech, unless:
-You have allies at least somewhat nearby
-The enemy is also in the open
-You have weapons to fire back at the LRM mech or at any mech that may be spotting you

Plan B: Equip some AMS when you fail Plan A

If you fail at both Plan A and Plan B then the problem is you.

Additionally, I play in the solo queue more than anywhere else, and many of the pilots I see in even the biggest & slowest mechs do not get continuously pounded by LRMs because they don't stay out in the open for 10 years.

As a 3 year veteran player, I am well aware of how you should handle LRMs. I get extremely tired of the generic "try using cover" response to any post about LRM avoidance. This often comes from people who don't use 100-ton mechs that move at 40-50kph (and in the case of clan mechs you can't just put in a bigger engine). When you are that large and slow, nimbly dodging between bits of tall cover is not so easy. Plus, a lot of cover isn't tall enough to shield you. You are going to run into plenty of situations when you are targeted, there is no tall cover nearby that you are fast enough to get to, and you are just boned. You try your best to avoid those situations, but they are going to happen a lot anyway. You make one little mistake in a mech like that, and your trashed in mere seconds.

If you're not close enough to get to some decent cover in a reasonable amount of time then that sure sounds like bad positioning to me; this applies to a mech of any size and speed by the way. Also, the only map where suitable cover is not easily found is Caustic Valley, and while that honestly should be fixed, that still means every other map has plenty of suitable cover to find.

For the same tonnage as they spent on ECM, you can equip BAP. I feel that since BAP gained increased range it has made ECM much more situational.
