Looks like a couple of the network peers for our datacenter were hit with bad DDoS traffic and this coincided with a fibre cut incident earlier tonight.

The latter should be resolved, but there's not too much we can do but wait until the attacks subside.

Just letting you know that we're aware of the problem and are working on ways to mitigate it.

Sorry to everyone that had bad traffic problems tonight. We hope it clears up soon.

STUPID DDOS Chumps.

Thanks for the heads up, I was wondering why HSR suddenly turned up the hate against me.

Ahhh, that might explain why I had a 25dmg match in my Raven when I knew for fact I at least partially landed at least six 28-point alphas before going down... really had me scratching my head something fierce, that one did.

Surely this depends on the type of DDoS? DNS-based ones are fairly easy to resolve with the right expertise.

Last night was a major bummer. I could queue for a game, but once it launched the game server disconnected me and I could never get back into the match. Ping was around double to triple my normal. I had to give up and find something else to do.

Good thing I have other plans tonight! Sucks though, just heard about the fiber-optic vandalism. Strange coincidence.

Makes sense for why I was getting like a 70-80 ping instead of my normal 30's ping.

The lurm strikes from China, Taiwan and the Netherlands last night were insane. I dropped for two fights and thought I was doing well only to see 100 damage or so. After that I checked out the map, saw the attacks and went to sleep. Nothing we can do to clear that up.

Good to know, I was going to check my network for problems when decided to take a look at the forum.

I've been playing with 300-400 ping, on vacation in thailand, for the past week or so.. Couldn't figure out why that'd spiked up to 3k last night. Thanks for the heads up!

Had a game that totally froze on me. Not the client, the server side where everything went zombie and twilight zone. My mech is moving around but everyone else, friendly and enemy are totally frozen in time, repeating the same arm and leg movement over and over again at the same spot. Got out of the session and tried to rejoin the game. NO can do, I was locked out of my mechs. Move the mechs out of my CW pallete. Noticed the Rejoin on the Play Button. Clicked it. My mechs were trapped in a Community Warfare Sulfourous map and it was trying to rejoin me in what? Caustic Valley?

Either your servers are totally screwed up or your IT is full of crap.

The number of IP attacks coming from China in the past week are startling. I've noticed in the past month that many of my customers have gotten hit with spyware integrating email spammers. Not hard to stop by killing outgoing port 25, but it makes me think that some new spammers are in town.

That explains why my ping was blowing out to 8000+ every 5 seconds or so.
