So this just happened. Got to fly around until my mech was destroyed. Could fly way above or way below the map. Never seen this before lol. Happened after a ctd and rejoining. Died before I could relog.

One of my livestream viewers told me a while back about one of his Wolverines getting the jump jets stuck "on". The mech rocketed towards the heavens, ignoring the fact that its jump jet reaction mass had long been spent, until it went out of bounds (there's apparently an altitude cap) and was destroyed for it.

Happened to me as well once after CTD disconnect. Disconnected and reconnected again and everything was fine after that. Exploitable if it can be reproduced.

Most definitely if it was easily reproduced lol. I flew right over the enemy team. Could have easily given away their locations. I assume my mech was still at the start because I was killed in pretty short order. Was kinda cool to get the bird's eye view of the map though. Would be fun to be able to spectate comp level matches like that.

I havent had this but my game did lag out hardcore one day ages ago on frozen city and I could explore the ENTIRE map in my spider, all the out of bounds were turned off. I even managed to get up and over the caveish area.

Hmm, frozen city is a city, it makes me wonder why the houses have so big distances between eahc other, weird architectucal design for a city to leave that much space between the buildings.

The city is "filled up" with snow. You actually only see the tops of taller buildings, and as skyscrapers sometimes get narrower at the higher levels, there's more space than you'd expect. The actual ground level is down at theta. At least that's what I tell myself ^^

Would be awesome to have an arty USER MANAGED a la COD, then you would have to choose between using the arty OR piloting your mech. This woudl seriously stop the ARTY spam.

again it makes me wonder, those barries, whats their purpose? mechs can simply go over the hill,a nd they are that far away from each other that any tank and mech can anyways walk between them. lol, base defending 101 fail.

Man, I thought this thread was about PvE adventures for your Mechwarrior as opposed to your 'mech. Some of the best times I had in the original Mechwarrior tabletop RPG were out of 'mech adventures armed only with an Imperator AX-22 assault rifle, a Sunbeam laser pistol and grenades.

The idea is that maneuvering around them slows you down. They aren't there to stop you, they are there to slow your movement, make your movement more predictable, and thus make you easier to shoot.

kinda pointless, they are not even doing this job if you look how they are aligned.
