Defences could probably be turned off (no active turrets, gates opened), but it's better to have generator buildings and dead turrets in place to assess firing lines. It will help to practice CW drops, also will allow people to take a look at beautiful new maps outside of busy CW combat drop (especially now as coming CW map will have unique look with bismuth crystals).

Sure, I actually would like to take a stroll around some of the maps without worrying about laser vomit. They do seem really well done for the most part and it would be cool to explore them more.

I think that we need to have this feature.

This is a good idea. My Unit has a lot of new pilots who have never played CW, and trying to teach them the ropes of it while fighting is counter-productive. It would be helpful if we could run practice drops with them on Training Grounds instead of being relegated to CW ghost drops to teach them about Invasion Mode.
