The Urbanmechs secret weapon is that it can leap into the air with its pilot yelling inspirational phrases, land on an assault mech, crush the assault mechs head in leaving the urbie half embedded in the assault mech, merge its controls with the assault mech, and become God Urbie.

Ok, that time I laughed WAY to hard.

Don't believe in yourself! Believe in the Urbanmech who believes in you!

I believe you're confusing urbanmech with Lagann from Gurren Lagann.

Serious moment: If you're playing BV balanced battles, an Urbie with a very skilled pilot is devastating for its BV. It can sit still and wreck other incoming light mechs. It doesn't even have to move.

I drew this years ago I think, and it still shows up in BT threads on /tg/. Based on a true story, unfortunately. Damned Urbanmechs.

Posted Image

Still like the idea of a greaser mech, though.

I think anyone that confuses a 30 ton battlemech for a trashcan might need to get their depth perception adjusted... or they're a close relative of Lela from Futurama.

Do you have the one with the Urbie Lancer by chance, can't find any more pictures of that one.

no. just no. lol

urbie is a horrible design. One could say any mech with a very skilled pilot could do very well in its BV category. Unless the map is 100% urban warfare the Urbie is screwed. And even then its only passable.

urbies are nothing more than cheap walking turrets, and truth be told, I think they would've been better off just buying a few heavy tanks ;)

You sir, are wrong.

Stick an Urbie in any type of cover (heavy woods works fine) and use it to anchor a formation and you've got just about the best bang for your buck (BV wise) that you can get.

I've said it before and i'll say it again. You can tell who's a decent TT player and who isn't by their opinion of the Urbanmech. Most of the haters either come from the MW video game series (i doubt i'd play one either, you'd miss half the fight by the time you got to it.) or they just don't understand the tactics involved in building a lance.

PS: my Urbies mount dual PPCs, AC/20s or Arrow IV launchers ;)
