Alright, I'll start:

The Razer NAGA.

Has 12 numpad keys on the side. I like to map one weapon to the '4' key, as that is where my thumb naturally rests. Way easier than using the NUM keys on the 'board.

Anyone use an orbweaver or similar keypad?

Also, anyone have experience with Logitec gaming hardware?

I don't know about Logitec stuff, but I use a R.A.T.7 gaming mouse. Pretty customizable, and I haven't had any issues yet.

I tried buying the Razer Hex mouse, because I mean... Battletech - Mechwarrior - Hexes... It all just goes hand in hand. However, it wasn't five minutes into unboxing the thing that I realized it didn't have the feel that I wanted. I usually like to use my middle finger on the mouse wheel as a button, and the ring finger as the right mouse button. The Hex mouse is designed to force you to take your finger off the right button to use the scroll wheel, which I find counter-productive.

I will absolutely vouch for Logitech gaming hardware. I have had four gaming mice from Logitch in the past fifteen years; if your mouse breaks for any reason at all, just call them up, give them the serial number, and they will send you a new one for free.

The MX5 series of mice has been fantastic to me, I had two MX510s and a 518 when the 510s were discontinued; now I have a G4 that they sent me when the 518 was discontinued, and it's functionally the same.

The mice feel great in my hand, they're just the perfect shape. They're nice for MWO too, as they have five additional buttons in addition to left/right/wheel. The movement is good, the materials are excellent, and the software is pretty decent; I have it set up so that I can press a button to toggle group 4 on permanently for TAG. My only gripe is that the mouse is somewhat lighter than I'd like; the more expensive versions of the mouse have weights you can add in to the base, but I'm too cheap for that. Still, I'd say $35 for four gaming mice has been an excellent value, and I have absolutely no regrets about my purchase.

I will also vouch for logitech. Can't remember models, but I have the solar powered keyboard. Love not purchasing batteries. And I have a wireless gaming mouse. It has been with me through several builds. It has the four button side in a perfect placement for thumb control. I believe it is a 520 or 720.

I started out with Logitech's MX Revolution wireless mouse... till the receiver was lost then found then broken. I loved that mouse. Would buy another one in heartbeat... if I wanted to pay upwards of $150 for a 10year old mouse from questionable sources and questionable quality. Heck, people even try to sell the usb dongle for upwards of $75.
Really wish Logitech would bring it back in an updated model.
I make due with a Logitech G700, 14 button, shift on the fly. Believe they have an updated version, the G750... I think.

I'm one of the rare players who plays with a trackball. I start using a trackball 15 years ago cause my space on my desk were very limitied at that time. My first Trackball was a Microsoft Optical Trackball and since then I don't want to play with something else. Very precise and it is very gentle to the wrist. But two years ago my Trackball broke into pieces so I have to buy a new one. But the Microsoft Trackball isn't produced anymore and the few remaining Trackballs are very hard to get or only for a big amount of money. But then I saw that Logitech had a Wireless Trackball in their product line - M570 Wireless Trackball.
It has 5 Buttons, which is enough for firing four of the Weapon Groups and for zooming in. Very handy and useful. And it is very precise, too. Meanwhile I have much more space on my desk (larger apartment) but I had to be so accustomed with the trackball that I stayed with it although.

And since last year I use a Razer Orbweaver as well. In connection with the Trackball it is pretty useful combination. I'm very satisfied with the Orbweaver. It has 20 programmable buttons on the top, two thumb buttons (programmable as well) and a programmable (4 Way or 8 Way ) Coolie hat on the side which can be used for example as a replacement for the arrow keys so you can switch your weapon group fast with your thumb without taking your fingers off the movement control.

I'm using the DeathAdder 2013. Great mouse but the lack of an on the fly DPI switch and lack of buttons in comparison to the Naga can be irritating in this game. I prefer an optical sensor over laser for FPS though.

logitech g502 proteus core. not overloaded with buttons, 5weapongroups or 3 groups and 2 utils, depends on which mech i run. love it.recommending it. on the fly sensitivity switch by single buttonpress, free programmable. another button switches through 3 (or4 oO?) predefined (by yourself) sensitivity setups.
up to 12k dpi, but who needs that ;) . it got a configurable light, mousewheel can be switched from raster to
freeroll, aaand it goes up down/left right. u can optimise the surface ure using it on with a menu which
determines the best output for your movements by ...your movements made on it. u can customise the weight easily as it comes with a lil box with 6x3.6gr. weights which will fit under the mouse in a seperate magnetically
closed housing. its around 70-80 bucks.

yeah, I keep looking at that one every time I go to the tech store. Will pull trigger on that purchase someday. But I miss that damn MX Revolution with two mouse wheels that had side to side on both..

I have been very happy with the Logitech G700s and actually all older Logitech equipment I have owned in the past. It seems to just last forever, usually the mouse physically wears down before something fails. I had a bad experience with the R.A.T 9 just being flaky with the sensor (had it replaced 2 times), I found the mouse movement was never smooth. I also had Razor equipment in the past, the mouse I had from Razor lasted about 6 months before it was not even recognized by any PC. I also had a razor headset, which ended up being replaced twice due to a faulty mic. I always come back to Logitech, I still have an older G9 and G15 that still work fine, they are just showing their age. I have yet to have any issues with my G700s or the Corsair K65 RGB keyboard.

If it's buttons, buttons and more buttons you're after (and I was) then the Logitech G600 is the mouse for you. It's marketed as a MMO mouse and it's pretty obvious why.

It has a total of 20 buttons on it. How does 20 weapon groups sound to you? OK, bad, but you get the idea! :)
