I got my wolves for C-Bills, mastered them and since then I haven't played them. I don't see what's so special about them. I kill them by the score in puglandia.

When I see a Timber I step out and fight him. When I see a Crow or a Firestarter I go away and let someone else deal with him and I'm not joking.

My IS drop deck is literally three mechs with 270m optimals right now, most matches are VERY close in CW, you need one mech with so range for the initial poke a thon, but damn near all of the actual work happens at sneezing distances (I haven't played the new map, maybe its different).

Like seriously if people actually try to stay at 900m, its no wonder they can't win a CW game, they are doing it flat wrong.

huh, gosh guess it's good to know you can teach me, only running a 3 to 1 W/L in CW.....

Good for you.

Mine is likely that or higher, but its not tracked and I don't spreadsheet if I'm not getting paid for it.

And missing the point, which is I'm sorry if word of mouth is not really impressing me as to why something should or should not. Getting "well I do this", is essentially, meaningless in any serious discussion.

Its JUST as backed as your comment. I got to play a bit Sunday, I played 4-5 games in a mixed faction group and won 4. So what?

So no, I don't track CW games, but even pugging solo I win more than I lose.

Just got a timberwolf this week. They are definitely not god mechs, they drop pretty easy (I bet I look dumb torso twisting in this thing) and if you know how to use terrain against them you can get free exchanges on them.

I legitimately consider mechs like the Stalker superior (I can easily tear a direwolfs head off in a heads up), and no one complains about them.

Thumbs down to wolf Nerf.

I'm late to the party on this one. I just purchased my very first timberwolf this morning and I really want to know how people justify to themselves that this thing is at all remotely fair? I feel like I have the agility of a medium and the firepower of a 90ton assault in this thing. Maybe I'm just **** with every other mech I've played in comparison, but this thing feels like it has absolutely no drawbacks in a game where each mech has its own strengths and weaknesses. Do you guys think it will be getting some sort of balance adjustments in the coming months?

just wait until the Timberwolf Mk II is put in the game

timber is just fine, only need to reduce it's armor a little bit.
i think it tanking capability are far to great for it's power and speed

I honestly prefer my Stormcrow to the Timby. I'm more of a medium guy anyway. I've always have had trouble piloting heavier mechs. Definitely different playing styles.

I know right!! I regularly do better in my Warhawk than Timberwolf! The Warhawk everyone thinks sucks ballz! I really suck in the stormcrow supposedly the hitboxmaster. I do much better with the Mad Dog.
No excuse for the Mr. Gargles though that mech is pure crappolis!

That is not an effective Dual Gauss platform, you sacrifice too much to do it, and there are other mechs much better suited...(i.e WHK, DW, and soon to be EBJ)

I have to admit, when I recreated the "Bounty Hunter" Timber Wolf and was able to one-shot a Griffin who turned around to find me looking him in the face....

yeah, I kinda understand where the "Timbergod" impression comes from now.

I try to justify that build in that it's not min/maxing the heatsinks & the canon weapon layout isn't maximized for poking at all, but it's still just...it feels like I'm just damage farming, and I'm not sure that's right.

Though to an extent that just fits right in with tabletop's "pulse-cheese" issues.
