The nova, if rescaling was indeed a complete impossibility in any form, would require armor/structure buffs that make it as durable of a mech of its size. In other words, a medium as big and durable as a ~60-65 tonner, with a high heat based arsenal and a few agility increases (because even with improved durability, it still has poor hitboxes compared to many heavies.

personally i would like to see some large Duration/Heat-Gen/Range Quirks for the Nova S & A arms,
as it is your almost required to run 12E just to compete, as taking less doesnt have a benefit,

As much as I hate to say it, I don't think the Nova has a future. PGI has not once ever rescaled a mech, even though there are some that have been as poorly scaled (Vindicator comes to mind).
Barring a rescale, having quirks on par with an IS tier 5 mech would pretty much be necessary, but again, given that the Summoner actually got a nerf in the last quirk pass and the Nova already has 10% quirks like the Summoner did, I'm not going to hold my breath.

The Nova is a laserboat. Problem with that is that there are other mechs who does it's job way better. Ghost heat and the heat increase of the the ERML killed the Nova. Don't get me wrong, the ERML are still a tad to strong and those changes were needed but only because other mechs profited from it greatly.
The Nova is a glass cannon without a cannon so why would someone play it, if you can use the Stormcrow which is faster, runs cooler, has more armor and better hitboxes and that for the price of only 5 tonnes. Yes, the hoverjets come in handy sometimes but they gimp you even more because of the heat.

I understand what you are saying, but unless those guys were hired from the beginning, it is hard to make such a sea change. Never claimed PGI was any type of masters with Cryengine, simply that at least by 2013, their course was already pretty solidly set. If they had a chance to hire them from the get go, well, IDK.
further the workplace is also a decision, just because one guy has the experience will not mean he may want to move to canada and work and live there.

If you lern to handle the heat, it is a cannon. 12 CERML is not an dps wise optimised build. its heat inefficient. reduce lasers, get more dhs, and you have better sutained DHS.

You can say the same thing about the 9 ER PPC Direstar, but that doesn't make it more than a gimmick build. At least the Direstar is pretty much guaranteed at least one kill.
