What in the world is going on? I miss 1 town hall meeting, and now we got a patch shoved our way that gives Clanners a 100ton JJ-enabled Zeppelin! If JJ patches are coming, then this may spell a demonic age in Pop-tarting. If you get killed by the new Daishi using the Torsos that can use JJs, please. know others are out there. WE FEEL YOUR PAIN. And... here comes more pain. Devs, you've got to make the maps bigger or else people will just start flaming.

I heard this not long ago as a hypothetical joke. No joke. JJs should probably only be used for small maneuvering tactics. But no more. A flying Daishi, is just way worse than a flying Highlander. You better watch it PGI. The game has changed, but this is just ridiculous.

There, I'm done my venting. The only good thing about the patch are the other somewhat simple Clan variants, bug fixes, and definitely the Urbie release. A flying Daishi better be worth it as long as we see Urbies stomping on them with AC10s and Small lasers.

You do realize the present state of HoverJets™?

News flash, 3 JJs won't allow poptarting on a 100 ton mech.

You IS crybabies should just be happy when Russ said "Dire Wolf with JJs" it wasn't the C variant with JJs AND ECM.

Doesn't matter, it still gives a stupid amount of mobility to a chassis who's only weakness was mobility. Daishi JJs won't be used for jumpsniping, it's just a pure mobility boost.

I like to complain but JJ's cover their weakness manoeuvrability?

So JJ's will stop me being able to outrun them backwards in most mechs and kill them before they do almost anything to me?

No, it allows them to maneuver up hills and objects that previously they had to walk around.

You realize it gives up 6 tons of pod space for those 3 class V jumpjets right? Even with the extra energy hard points, there is a limit on what it can equip with the reduced crit space and reduced free weight.

It's like if you gave the Dire Wolf endo steel. 5 more tons for whatever you might be able to squeeze in, maybe an extra heatsink, 1 more laser, some more ammo. On dakka Wolf it really wouldn't make much of a difference.

You don't need to mount all 3 omnipods. One will suffice for mobility purposes since the amount of JJ fuel doesn't change per jumpjet.

Either way, the Daishi is far and away the one mech that is not hurting for tonnage at all, nor crit slots generally since clan stuff takes less.

A Dire Whale with Jumpjets? Now it will be vulnerable from anywhere on the board instead of just in the lane it is facing...

Most of the things you'll be able to clear now are pain in the ass objects that never should have impeded it in the first place.

meh, jumpjets for it is NOT gonna be a big issue. They will be able to hop pebbles and that is about it.

Now if they ever fix jumpjets.....

Oh no, the end is nigh!

People do realise that this isn't the current meta Dire Wolves with JJs, right? You're going to have to give up omnipod/critical space considerably to build new JJ Dire Wolves. They're not going to be any worse than before.

Definitely worth a try at jump sniping though!
