Yeah thats the Phased Plasma Cannon.
We need this cool looking weapon in MechWarrior Online, just retcon the PPC to look this cool when firing one.
*picture*
Why would we want the PPC to look like mediocre CGI from a fairly average movie?

there are several different ways to do particle weapons
protons
Electrons.
stripped heavy nuclei
and plasma.
Battletech uses them all.
(Oh I forgot one )
Pulsars (Anti/particle weapons) a little out of reach for the BT univers this one.
the plasma rifle is just a plasma based PPC that is tweaked to do more heat
it's kin of the same argumant as the Gauss rifle vs rail gun thing...different name for the same thing.

1.) The PPC, Particle Projector Cannon, fires a magnetically-focused burst of hot plasma. They call it a "Particle Cannon" because it fires superheated atomic nuclei that are siphoned from the reactor, which are tiny particles (notably, alpha and beta particles). The title includes the term "particle" because it's is meant to help differentiate it from being a photonic or electric weapon.
2.) This thread is not too constructive... since the OP is asking the Devs to re-wiite BattleTech's core base material... so I'm going to jettison it (but not due to maliciousness or anything like that ;-)

Regardless of whether the battle of Luthien has occurred though to consider the discovery of the Angel ECM suite, aren't PGI now making corrective steps to remove some of the more current advanced ECM abilities to be more in line with the Guardian anyhow?

regardless of they they pull out of their ***** to counter it (IE stuff they entirely make up themselves), as long as it blocks Streaks and does stuff Angel does, Ill consider it Angel lol
Hell, I dont go in for it but there are ppl here who think its like 3 or 4 techs in one
