Ahhhhhhhhh stop the presses I got it.
Make some of the pellets have a slower velocity. When an enemy gundam is coming straight at you, the LB basically acts like an AC10 with its tight spread.
IF the enemy gundam moves laterally, the slower velocity pellets hit later, and spread its damage. Making the AC10 the better choice in that situation.
Separate but equal. Mississippi is pleased.
