Am trying to use my credit card to buy MCs online. This is always a pain, since PGI is a Canadian company and my American bank insists I call them during bank hours and give verbal consent. Sometimes it takes, sometimes not, so what should be a simple transaction often takes 30 mins or more of calling back and forth.

And now, with the recent changes to the MWO site payment systems, I get a "contact support" msg. When I try to contact support, it asks me to create a MS mail account. I'm really not interested in going through all that. Esp if I am not sure support will respond in a timely manner.

Is there an easier way to do this? I'm trying to spend another $99 on PGI, and they are making it too hard to bother. Can I call and just talk to a live person?

[and mods, if there is a better forum for this, please move]

email PGI support, at support@mwomercs.com

They don't care who your email provider is, and whatever you want to say about PGI, their support is and has always been consistently awesome.

They'll help you out.

9th try, still getting error message. Guess I should call bank again to see if they messed it up.

There really isn't an easier way to do this? I'd rather be playing.

See, the old system simply would say "card declined" which told me I needed to call my bank and give them verbal permission.

But now with the new "contact support" msg, I can't tell if its my bank or PGI's payment site. And so *I* get to run around calling and emailing people to try to figure it all out.

Maybe if I work on this an hour, PGI will give me an employee discount? ;)

Now on hold with fraud dept because PGI hit their radar, I have to confirm or they block my card and then I have to wait 5 days for them to mail me a new one.

Still no transaction processed either. Almost an hour in now.....

PGI support: "Our staff are currently handling a higher number of tickets than average at the moment. We sincerely apologize for any delay this may cause in our response time."

I can't just talk to a human? Am trying to GIVE YOU $99

This is a bank problem, not a PGI problem. I have no trouble using my VISA / Debit card to purchase things.

Nope. Just got done with fraud dept. They understand PGI is Canadian and won't block my card. Yay!

They say card is approved and transaction should process.

I suggest you use paypal or an alternative form of payment.

As for this part, it's because your browser detects the email hyperlink and is trying to use your computers default mail application, which is probably nothing so being Microsoft, it wants to install outlook or something. But you probably use a web based email system.

What browser are you using? You likely need to update something on your rig, or possibly something is being blocked in your browser.

MWO Support has a new setup, try billing@mwomercs.com

They should be able to help, just copy-paste it to the email you have connected to your MWO Profile.

Good luck and godspeed!

YAAAAAY! SUCCESS FINALLY!

I'm not going through this every time. I've done 6 transactions like this with PGI and its always a pain in the butt.

How do I get this thread to someone at PGI who will care about taking money from me?

Maybe you need to try a side-path?

Use your credit card to buy pre-paid, like Karma Koin. Big player so shouldn't be hard to process.

Karma Koin cards only go to 50 iirc but you can easily combine them: http://karmakoin.com...s/combine_cards

Then simply use the combined pre-paid code to buy your MWO goodies.

On a side note...
Exactly how did you succeed?

(Myself, I've had exactly one problem trying to buy stuffs, because I had used a new card to which the purchase was completely foreign from my usual behavior with it [I don't normally use it for video game things], so the bank wanted me to confirm it wasn't stolen. Any other time, no issues.)

Use PayPal. I have one card whose parent company is very very paranoid. I've had purchases declined by their fraud department multiple times, but PayPal (which you can link one or more checking accounts and/or credit cards) has never been declined -- even when choosing the paranoid company's card through PayPal.

You'll be able to do that easier than getting ahold of support figuring out the problem, and it'll be there for future purchases (even when not related to MW:O). Problem solved right quick.
