well due to unforeseen problems i had to format my HDD this week end with a fresh crisp install of windows i started the download and install of MWO well that is where my weekend failed.

i spent most of Saturday downloading 6935.59mb of MWO 3hrs later i look on my screen and see a error after 7gb D/L and it tells me to try again.

so really wanting to do the challenge i hit retry now after almost 5rh this time guess what i see ?

yep that's right again the file has been corrupted so it tells me to try again so i really want to play mwo (something i have done almost every day since i got into early beta) so i hit retry again.....

over night this time when i wake up wow it is installed so i feed the animals and the pets square away the wife.

no for some long awaited me time online with big stompie's

load the client hit launch waiting... waiting... up pops a dialog box [unable to load missing or corrupted files (00000000x0?)*]. *something like that not exactly same

well what hair i have left is now gray, so i tried the repair tool and 3hrs later i get to try to play again .................................. that stupid error again.

so i try the repair tool again. Well the next 3hr pass i watch the last bit.

the time is good the kids have been put to bed, wife is in bed watching TV i launch the client

that dam error is back

so i uninstall then go and remove all the temp files and re-install it again over night i get up this morning and what do i see yep that is right can not install missing or corrupted files.

so here i go again i have been downloading the again as i type.

35gb later i am getting pissed the looking for group challenge will be over by the time i hopefully get the game installed and playable

so let me title this post

HOW PISSED AM i !!!!!!!

qwerty

ps this is what i sent as a ticket

If that's what you sent as a ticket, then you weren't asking for help very nicely or intelligently. Frankly, I don't have problems like this myself when updating/downloading MWO.

If you want help, try being more polite and concise. Nobody wants to read a poorly worded rant with bad grammar and confusing sentence fragments. Make PGI's job easier to help you by making it easier for them to read your ticket. My experience with their tech support has been phenomenal; they're tops!

There is no information for PGI or us to help you with here. What are your system specs? What version of windows are you running? Etc.

This post seems more of a rant than someone actually looking for help. I know you are frustrated, but PGI can't fix something that they may not know is broken.

Recently, PGI restructured their patcher. It's half in effect now (should just reorganize files for next step) and their next patch has all the real patcher updates in it. Running the repair tool was recommended anyway.

Is there any errors that your repair tool specifically stated? This might be helpful information. Is there a specific file that is corrupted that it's telling you about? Include that in your ticket to PGI.

Could you also be having spotty connection, which is interrupting your download, making it download a corrupted file? Have to consider everything, right?

I can not help you any more than this sadly. Talk to PGI's support as people and be nice to them. I'm sure they will do what ever they can to help you. I've always found them to be helpful for me when I have an issue.

Exact error codes are important, the more you give them in good information.. the more they have to help you with. It does however sound like you should start with taking a look at your internet connection and antivirus. A bad connection can corrupt data as can an infection or even over active protection.

If you are not looking for help, then why did you make this thread on these forums? What reason could you have for this thread other than to get help for the problem?

run dxdiag, save to desktop, cut and paste the entire report, send them that.

Mind, I'm still waiting for them to resolve my issue which has been going on for 2 months. (See my post, Loading, connecting, Disconnected from Game Server.. I still have not had this resolved.. no MWO for me for over 2mo and I lost 1mo of premium time I had just bought.

release steam?

Thats mostly the case why rage threads exist.

And no wonder why such a thing does not get help by support if he sent that..

Experienced some issues like this a few months back. Ultimately I had to do a complete uninstall and then reinstall using the repair tool only.

That is to say, uninstall everything and after reinstalling the client, DO NOT hit the big blue "PATCH" button, but instead go to the repair tool and run it.

At least, that got me up and running. Hopefully it helps you out.

I don't think he's really sorry OP. He's just trying to be polite.

And he likes to post.
