I wish there was a leaderboard for every chassis. At the end of the month, award a minor prize to the top 3 and reset the board.

Only pertains to Group and Solo play of Conquest, Skimish, and Assault.

I remember when we had a huge chassis leaderboard event and it was AMAZING to see lots of Mechs we hadn't seen in a while!

If there were good incentives to play underused chassis, we'd see them more! There would be high competition for chasis like Timber Wolves but lower competition for Mechs like Dragons or Commandos.

We could also have fun stuff like a floating title for each Mech! Whoever is #1 at the end of each month gets the title for the following month.

"Commando: Top Gun"
"Timberwolf: Top Gun"

Etc. How great would that be!!??

Monthly resets are necessary, otherwise later good performance is skewed by earlier bad performance. (like my overall stats)

ya good stuff, make the prize be a top gun cockpit item or something, or a banner, something cool, then I would roll it up to a yearly with maybe some MC or something for yearly top gun, great idea!

DUDE, remember the special camo for the PGI tourney? Similarly, just have a set of Top Gun camos that you can use for as long as you have the title.

Also, how about an invite only tournament at the end of the year for anyone who held the title! xD

It would also help PGI negate the powercreep by scaling the quirks and get the "tier-levels" and score data public for everyone to see.

Good idea. I always enjoyed the chassis challenges. I actually managed to win the adder chassis once, in part because nobody ever plays it

I think a nice set of prizes could be:
1st: Title, 300MC
2nd: 125 MC
3rd: 2,000,000 cbillz

I did something similar to this in the mechwarrior registry league. You need to save the results and have a history drop down. Also, it should be per variant, prizes like a camo skin for the top 3, would be per variant. The variants could be added as the camo is designed, making each patch an anticipated event. If you really want a per chassis list, the variant needs to be listed with player name.

I think the varaint idea would be fun for IS but for clans...it's becomes redundant. Plus, the sheer number of Mechs chassis would be just fine to allow diversity, IMO

This would be a good time! Sure it might benefit the grinders but in the end I think anything that encourages diversity of mech usage is a good thing and makes for more fun to be had by all.

I'm currently 4th Thunderbolt of all time, 7th Locust, 20th Stormcrow.

Now... I know I'm not actually the 4th best Thunderbolt pilot in the game, but more people need to sign up and get their stats into the site. =]

I really like this idea too. It was nice with the Hero mech tournment to see some Pretty Babies and Oxides running around (hardly ever see those mechs). It would be nice to see some other mechs that are not around very much (Vindicators, Orions, Highlanders, Victors). Also I think it would give PGI some more data on how those Mechs perform and hopefully see what needs to be fixed or updated.
