Its fun as hell for IMMERSION!!!!!!!! purposes, but otherwise you should be able to hit distant targets just fine without it.

I make sure to have it on gauss ravens / jaegers for fun sake.

I think it is a waste. 90% of the people I see using it get themselves killed because they are trying to use it.

i own one, done 4 matches with it removed it never touched it again.
it's a total worthless module in this current state of the game.

no engagement go's pass 800 meters so 2x is good enough.

Most things can be hit with standard 2x zoom. For everything else, there's Advanced Zoom.

Seriously, though, I only use it in my LCT-1V with one ERLL. I truly think it's my favorite mech in the game.
