Here's an idea - Trial of Trials event!

Make an event that rewards players that play ONLY Trial mechs.

For Solo and pug drops, only trial mechs.. standard 30 match score
For CW, whole dropdeck trial mechs only - 80 match score

Solo and Group que rewards - give c-bills, GXP, MC, Cockpit items, and as the main reward for 20 points, Choice of one mech from the trial mechs list.

CW Rewards - give c-bills, GXP, MC, Cockpit items, and as the main reward for 20 points - choice of one mech NOT on the trial mechs list.

Also, upon achieving 20 points in either CW or PUG drops, get the right to vote on the next batch of trial mechs to replace the current one..

I think the point of the event is that they aren't OP, and we run them for the fun of it.

I think that if this was atleast a semi-regular event It would help and encourage new players to play the game. A good tutorial on how to buy mechs would be very helpful aswell.

Yes, I would run commando and locust trial mechs for the whole eve...oh yeah, nevermind.

Now that they are revamping the champion mech loadouts, it would be a good time to do a trial mech event when they introduce them. It could coincide with a sale on champion mechs with a double XP weekend bonus.

I would be happy to try it, however I suspect those who are not participating and using there customized and elited Mechs would have a huge advantage

Yeah, there would have to be some filter that sorted trials from champions, I think, so that only real trial mechs counted. It would still give people with all of the skills unlocked in that variant an advantage though.

Well if you've unlocked and mastered a trial-mech version, than I guess you've earned the bonuses.. You still have a relatively crappy, albeit mastered, build to play with, and so the advantages are not THAT big..

P.S.

With all the attention this thread is getting, it gives me ***king hope they will actually do this event
