1. Didn't like or disagreed with your suggestions
2. Found your suggestions too difficult/expensive to implement within their current roadmap
3. Have them in the pipeline
All of the above are possibilities.

I agree the selection process is a bit irritating compared to the old one.
What's odd to me is that the number one use for mechlab is to trade around modules, followed closely by selecting a mech to go into battle with (since the prior tab doesn't really provide that option)...you'd think that point would have come up during testing.

I did not harass him. I think Russ is just not a person who can take criticism well. I feel like he surrounds himself with sycophants. I've tried and tried to give him a chance, but he just continuously seems to be on his own little island surrounded by the people who are telling him everything is great and will continue to be great.
I feel Russ has only ever acknowledged problems and issues when it is do or die situation. I don't think he is interested in being honest about mistakes PGI has made or interested in learning from them. I think feedback from the people who support the game is mostly ignored in order to further PGI's vision of where/what they want MWO to be and unfortunately it looks like they are either not capable or not interested in making it into anything more than an arena shooter with an esports mentality. I think the UI and the "two steps forward one step back" dance they've been doing with it for three years is a prime example of how the game will continue to be developed.
I love Mechwarrior and I've supported MWO through a lot of purchases. I probably have over $300 invested in the game, but I keep going through this cycle where it is fun for a while but then I get bored because I wish there was more to it so I take a break and come back. I'm at the point again where I am bored and frustrated with the game and probably need to take a break again, I guess, but I have a lot of time, effort, and 20+ years of love for Mechwarrior pushing me to hold on to hope that MWO will become the awesome game that I read about in the original dev blogs.
I just feel the game has slipped so far from the original vision that at this point there is no hope for going back and we are going to be stuck with the current status quo for the life of the game and that is really, really disappointing to me. I think MWO has done a lot of great things and PGI got a lot of things right, but they don't seem to be interested in acknowledging shortcomings or feedback from the community.
And for all I know Russ may be a great guy and if we sat down and had some beers we might hit it off. But reading his communication from the last few years makes me think just the opposite. He's had a few moments of brilliance where I thought he really connected with the fans, but mostly I've felt like we are on two different islands with shark infested waters between.
That was a really long, off topic post, but it felt good to write it. I think I'm gonna go play Pillars of Eternity for a while. Good luck and have fun on the battle field.

Re. The Game
I have invested about half as much as you and have only been playing for 6 months, I think that probably means I have an easier time here because I have very little baggage to carry around and haven't had my hopes dashed over time. But, I will say this; having come from World of Tanks and War Thunder, this game is better to the power of n. The community is less toxic, the company may not respond in the way we want it to but at least it responds and, finally, there is NO pay to win...this is a biggie for me in a F2P game.
Re. The UI
Said it before, seen better, seen worse, let's see how it develops.

It sounds like you have worked for some pretty crappy bosses then. I'm fortunate enough to be my own boss now, but the people I've worked for in the past have been very successful because they were willing to tackle issues head on and acknowledge problems. They play the long game when they can and the short game when they have to.
I don't think Russ is a top tier CEO who can milk the company in the short term to make himself look good then move on to take over another company. I think if he wants MWO to be successful he needs to learn from the past and not keep making the same mistakes or there will be no players left. I have no intention of spending any more money on MWO any time soon because there just isn't anything new worth supporting and there are so many little things that have been ignored or swept under the rug for so long now.
I feel about MWO right now how I felt about WoW when things really started going down hill with it. That is the only comparison I can think of since I've never put much time into any other F2P game and don't really care to.

1. Not all of the ideas were my suggestions. There were a few competing good ideas that they could of chosen. To choose their current solution over them they'd have to be just plain silly.
2. As a developer with a small studio, all of the suggestions could have been done really quickly (less than a week) and easily by a single UI dev. No one was asking for the moon, just a usable UI.
3. SOON ™. Until then I'll be busy playing Witcher 3

You got M&M: Clash of heroes? Would be more fun to play than LabWarrior

New Mech Select Screen - we are targeting this patch for a new Mech Select screen that incorporates all player feedback and we feel will be another big upgrade to the front end experience in MWO.
Guess I won't be playing until the 4th August then. Gives me time to play my Steam sale purchases

Well, its not just that. I mean, a cursory research into UI design could tell a person how not to do things, just using the internet alone, let alone actually sitting through a programming class.
It doesn't make sense.

If anything, the mechs you own should reflect their camo and paint schemes on the selection window. Displayed impressively and prominently. Like a trophy case, one that currently only shows your bowling trophy's base plate.
For years I kept my favorite hand painted mech on my office desk. If MWO is the desktop version of my hand painted mech in a 3d model... PGI sat on it!

Because it should never have been an issue in the first place, and the "fix" (whatever it may be) is still two months away.
That's like getting your car back from a service with the steering is backwards, but they try and tell you it's okay because they know about it and will fix it during the next service. It doesn't help you at all because it's effectively unusable until then.

Except the UI isn't unusable right now. Just a bit annoying.
