The Mechlad is ok, the sorting of stuff though (like if you sort Engines by Name or Weight) is very strange and not on the right order, sometimes worse, sometimes less (sorting Engines by Name is catastrophic).

But the Mech select list has my dislike, Quirks are nowehre and again PGi found a way to make something simple needing more clicks than in the old way.

PGI seems to like 2 steps forward followed by 1,99 back :D

Honestly, if I was running PGI I wouldn't be doing very much to fix this after all the hyperbolic whining in this thread! How the hell are they meant to react to the playerbase when such a MINOR issue as this is called "game-breaking"? How are they meant to sort out the real issues if we as a community can't even stay focused? Hey ho....

Russ did say a few things about the UI in the townhall; it sounds like we'll be able to see all our 'Mechs in icon form again, and this time, it'll include all the custom configurations and paint, too.

Just gotta wait another month or two...anybody got time travel tickets?

Yeah, It's called Witcher Wild Hunt :-)

For crying out loud, people need to stop complaining about things that have already been addressed. PGI stated that they are fixing the UI. In fact, they stated that about 2 hours after releasing the new UI.

Well, more people complained mean more people care, and if you care its good to voice it out, it help to emphasized that the problem (however big or small) does exist. Think of it like this.... let say you're in a crowd of 10,000 people who're looking to the left. If 1 out of that 10,000 would look to the right, nothing happen, nobody care. But now let say 100 out of 10,000 people would look to the right, the rest 9900 people sooner or later are bound to get interested or just curious, and you can see the overall situation will start to move, more people will start looking to the right. ;)

Regardless whether PGI read this feedback/complaint or not, but the worst thing people can do is stay quiet. Anyway this thread is made for complaint, title says it all. The fact that people enter this thread (read or write) they're actually interested to what complaints people have.

The issue is that people complaining and whining is good when we're trying to shed light on a problem. It's absolutely annoying when the light has already been shed, and a fix is on the way.

Isn't that exactly what Russ said is going to happen to the UI during the townhall?

Maybe. I read the notes and heard "big UI update for August", but no exact details. Until I see screenies I suspect the worse

All this remaking of ui is actually stupid. Copy MW4's layout and add in where needed, it dosent have to be rocket science it just has to work. Stop d$$king around with this and go fix balance issues and you know, gameplay design. Or just do what you always do and chalk this up as another salty player.

When this latest UI rolled out PGI immediately put out a thread saying that all the feedback from the public testing of the UI is being reviewed, and will be added to fix the UI. I don't know why they released it, when they were going to change it so soon. Leave us with the current (at the time) UI, and take the extra month or two to plop down the "improved" version.

Except the MW4 UI was crap. Especially the Mechlab. The mech select was even worse than this. At least we can filter by weight class here, compared to the MW4 one.

Also, the people working on the UI are not the same people working on balance, maps, mechs, or any other content. Each team handles it's own thing.

They did the same when UI 2.0 came out. A year ago. Nothing came of it until last month

Agreed. I ended up naming my mechs "4xAC5 2ML" etc, just to avoid switching between mission select and mechlab 1000 times.

Fix the equipment sorting and bring back the initial home page with all the mechs listed in rows and columns again...these are the two most annoying parts.

Sort engines and you get some wacked out sorting and if you want to switch mechs, it is painful.

I feel they did the mech selection thing because the NGNG tryhards cried that that just play the same mech over and over and don't need a selection screen.

though I had NO issues with UI2.0, sure if the mech build screen was a little slow but once you knew it, it worked well enough. At least ALL the information you needed was somewhere to be seen. Now things like the mech's quirks are hidden away in a sub menu.

Important information should always be visible and quirks are pretty damn important now.

Then why not tell the community... Hey the UI works but its not polished yet.... we need more time like 2-4 weeks.
Thank you for your patience. This UI was clearly not polished, but released anyway.... PGI got what it deserved.
If your going to get criticized no mater what you do... why not get it for the right reasons.

I agree. That still doesn't make incessant complaining about issues that have been addressed valid.

The Roadmap post already gave exact dates for what's happening, and what fixes are incoming to the UI. That was up on June 1st. The day before the UI was implemented.

TL;DR: PGI messing up, is not an excuse for us to get annoying.

When something messed up, it definitely will annoy everything around it, especially when its related.

Wow u settle for that? "we'll....." is pretty broad.....1 month? 6 month? a decade? maybe a time specific would be nice like Tombstoner said.

I should have been more specific. Of course I wouldn't settle for a "we'll work on a fix" I'd want them to give me a solid date. Which they did this time around.

I distinctly remember him discussing how someone (forget who) finished up a side project unexpectedly that will allow us to see our 'Mechs in the little icon window that we were used to, but with custom camo and weapon configurations and everything - basically anything we change, we see in that little window too. Just like what was in your diagram really.

So as long as it goes through testing without causing any issues, it's coming.

Probably is tied into the UI update.

Oh look another fanboy likes this crap UI. Its mostly garbage expect for equipping mechs, that works. Everything else is just pure SHIp!.. yeah ship!

Buying and switching mechs is a joke. Expand and Collapse seem overlooked, maybe i missed it in the garbage UI they keep puking out, but how can anyone be so dumb as to leave out an expand all and collapse all option .

Oh yeah I remeber, PGI the game rapers who think quirks were a good idea to fix balance while releasing P2W mechs they nerf to death because because they have no idea what balance is or how to get there. A blindfolded drunk on acid could do as well.

Slowly I play less and less and I don't miss it at all. It sad, MWO is such great IP lost in a sea below average.

I do have to admit PGI had their hands tied for a while and its not easy to please everyone. Still, that new Buy or Sell or Choose a mech UI sucks the vieniest (is that a word) hard one on Terra.
