Alright, its settled:

Mind you though, this does not reflect the final colours/shades, and this will receive some real heavy weathering, merely, this is the basecoat/basecolors.
Not all areas have been gone over, so it get some more yellows on the legs etc.

Chipping test!

The dark, brown/red is just a temp color, as is the tan strip

Progress!
So I finally found the time to do most of the painting. It now has 1 base coat of dark grey, topped with drybrushed metallics and rust/grime, then lacquer to seal it in, then chipping solution. Over that is the off white main color, with the yellow stripping.

Color scheme is regimental 36th Dieron Regulars parade.

I've done a little of preliminary wearing, next is chipping the white of selectively in areas of stress and wear. Let's hope that doesnt take so long as this did...

Don't cry, most fun is when you do something with your own hands, at least for me :)

I am amazed by the skill and craftmanship of the guy`s on MWO who are able to rip and convert MWO files to be used for 3d printing, I am a toolmaker and got into it through my love of modelling, there isn`t much i can`t build if i put my mind to it but the skill required to do what you guy`s do is beyond my capabilities, I bow to your skill and ingenuity.
