I would figure that with the ACH being released that everyone would be in this, especially those clan Sonic the Hedgehog pilots out there. However, come just a few days after this, the queue's already back to the usual, "for shorter wait times, DON'T play heavies!"

So, did the Cheetah craze die off already? Or is there something that I'm not getting here...?

Streak mechs came out and started killing them . We will never have lots of lights with ssrm6 boats

I personally haven't run into any streakboats.

The ACH is still one of the best lights there are. I guess people stopped playing it as soon as they realized they couldn't just nascar around and expect to do well.

Still seeing plenty of them in my drops. Not as many as before though I agree.........Seeing about an equal amount of Shadowcats at the moment.

You could make a light the very best mech in the game and 85% of people still wont play them because best≠easy in a light.

Arctic cheetah craze still going strong for me, when I'm not playing my S-cat.

I do try to stay away from Streakboats 1v1 if both are 100% healthy, because it's virtually impossible to engage them at short range without taking damage. But they're also my favourite targets in the middle of brawls, or late in the game when others have softened them up a bit. You can practically see the wide-eyed pilot as you're chopping off their side torsos.

I still see plenty per match. While it's not 4 every time, there's at least one on each side per game.

I see at least 2-3 per game, and at least 2-3 streak boats now per game as well. Makes Locusting a bit more dicey.

Well allot of people have mastered them since they came out.

There's also the rubber banding problem that happens if someone dares come to close.

People just re-discovered why the light queue is so short. Also how unrewarding lights are in an evironment where you can hurl huge alphas with hitscan over 700m+ which shred a light in no time if you are unlucky. Heck, a 40+ alpha is common for a heavy which means even if only half the damage applies from a laser half the armour on your limp is gone.

And of course the brilliancy which is streak.

Just shoot the legs. If you're shooting anywhere else on an ACH, you're doing it wrong.

OP: My love hasn't died, I'm playing it a lot, just annoyed I can only level one at a time because C pods.

Everywhere i go i have to kill those little annoying things.
Just had to pour almost 100 damage into one to kill it (i'm serious: 3x33 damage alphas with IS LPLs, all center mass, at almost point blank range... and it was already cored and legged).
I did it to test it's resistance more than anything else (my assault was at almost full armor, i was basicaly toying with it): those things are unnaturaly resistant. They are like the Firestarters of old.
I will take great delight in killing them, and when they come out for c-bills, to drive them.

Edit: not trying to say they are OP. They get legged like any other light. But my god, are they annoying!

I wonder why no one capitalizes on the high streak mech population. Could be a good time for brawlers. I'm happy to run into a streak boat when I'm in a SRM boat. Same damage, half the cooldown

It's a light mech. They'll never be that popular because there are better options.
