I beg to differ. CW gameplay is vastly superior to regular drops, in my opinion.

Very much the minority opinion. The empty queues alone prove that, as well as the objective list of how CW's painful shortcomings:

- Poor map design with obvious shooting gallery lanes that no sane attackers would use.
- "Objective" based missions that actually offer very little incentive for players to go for the objectives.
- No matchmaking, resulting in frequent stops and idiocy like 12-man teams being paired against 12 random PUG's.

No, CW is a good look at PGI's past track record regarding major changes, and it should deeply concern anyone who's seen what this Unbalancing entails.

You know I ran about least ten CW matches this weekend.

You know how many 12 mans I saw? Zero

No 11 man,
No 10s
No 8s
I saw a couple 6ers.

Christ man, get over it.

Yes. So?

That's an opinion, not an "objective CW painful shortcoming". But yeah, Boreal vault could use rework. And every map could use selectable (by company commander) dropzones where all 3 lances drop, with said dropzones all around the base rather than in the one place.

Agreed. On the other hand, with generators so close together, in a match where teams are equally matched, the defenders will not be able to stop the attackers from killing the omega. Gens need to be capturable conquest-style, and 2 must be held for omega to be vulnerable.

You consider that idiocy, i consider that effect of people being too lazy to find any group to play with,

Well then, if CW is "PGI's track record regarding major changes" i am pretty much unconcerned. Will take CW match over silly deathmatch drops any time.

I know it's been covered many, many times before. However, one thing that will help numerous mechs (particularly the Commando and Mist Lynx), is to give the SRM's the same 50% ammunition per ton boost that all other ammunition has. That little tuning really needs to happen during this rebalance. Also, PLEASE fix flamers (I was so happy they got talked about in this last Town Hall, thank you for pushing it).

Aside from that, I'll want to see the full rebalance pass on mechs and quirks before giving other input. That said, on the other hand, I think utilizing small weapon quirks (5-10%) will be great for differentiating variants on chassis that are quite similar. To rehash what I said about the Firestarter before, as a great example (using the comments from this video for adjustments): H - Range, K - Heat Gen, A - Fire Rate, S - Info Warfare, and E - Agility. Things like that are just necessary for chassis that are so similar (which the Firestarters exemplify).

EDIT: P.S. Thank you Sean Lang for the insight on everything. It is greatly appreciated.

Ah, yes, a single person's experience is a "fact" but everyone else's experiences don't count - right... classic "internet debating 101." I once got 6 kills in an Awesome, clearly they are meta.

No, I'm sure the reason the vast majority of players are not playing CW is because CW is a better game mode, despite the facts laid out earlier. Heck, at this point the 12-mans have wandered away from CW - that hardly means the problems spelled out don't exist!

Get over it.

only reason you aren't seeing groups in CW right now is the tournament. Whenever there is free stuff to be had in CW, people play it. once it is over, they all disappear.

Anyone who thinks CW is achieving anything for the game is fairly delusional about it.

When the groups stopped playing it, you knew there was even more trouble.

Again, almost a year since they mashed it in our faces with no thought put into it and they have done nothing to make it something we all want to play. They spent all their time on mech packs. they never listened to the big issues ever.

But I bet if NGNG went all gungho in their faces, they'd do it in an instant.
