Is it a deal breaker? Are you cool with it?

For me, once I saw that, it wen't from a "Duh, her's my 15 bucks!!!" to........ "WHOA NELLY!!!!!"
Not being able to run at least the 300 Engine the Marauder is engineered around, for me is a no if ands or buts Deal Breaker. The Mech was designed around a 300 and modiied to a smaller engine, for cripes sake!

Gimme a 300 to 325 engine cap, and you can have my money.

Since we cannot add polls here, like if you agree, please. (I feel like a teenage girl on facebook asking for likes....ewwwww)

***EDIT:
also, from Russ's twitter:
https://twitter.com/...577754487623681
"Those concerned with the low Bounty hunter engine cap - by canon it is quite low and we followed the ratio of it vs other variants"
https://twitter.com/...577929465643008
"However we are considering a bump in its cap at least a little more and perhaps some extra torso twist - more info when we have it"

So, Russ is aware of the concern, listening, and standby for more info.

Thanks Russ.

***Breaking News Edit: Cap Offically raised on https://mwomercs.com/marauder to 300 for BH2 Hero.***

Thank You Russ and PGI for Listening to your communities concerns.

Why would it need a raise? It comes with all you need, the perfect meta mech. 2 ERPPC and a Gauss RIfle. Just drop off w/e else it has for more gauss ammo.

But really, they should atleast keep it the same as the other Marauders...if the others are 300s, that should be as well. Its not like its a clan mech with locked engines...

if it had a 300 cap, even, I would buy it. 275, for me? No sale, sadly.

It needs at least a 300. If I want to walk around at 60kph I'll take a Banshee. Because it's an extra cost, add-on 'mech, yeah, a 275 is a deal breaker for me.

Well, that's fine. You don't need to buy something you don't like. Why do we need to know what you are not going to buy, however?

PGI needs to speak up on Bishop's point. If it is a stock 300 and I can increase the BH to an xl 350 then it's all cool.

If I can't and it's stuck at 275 no way in hell am I paying 55 dollars to get at that.

Hear that whooshing sound? 'Twas the point flying right over your head, obviously.

This.

It's an add-on Hero. I don't normally buy Heroes (I only own 3, 1 of which I just bought this weekend) but if this were a reasonable Mech I'd probably just add it on.

275 cap really isn't reasonable to me. As others have said elsewhere, the BH is itself a modified Mech. Its engine cap should be the same as all of the others, because it's just a regular MAD-3R that's been modified to carry a smaller engine and more weapons.

I might accept a 300 cap, but really it should be at least 325. Otherwise no sale for me. I'll just get the "normal" $40 package.

The mech comes with a 225XL. For standard Cap, a 275 is it. BUT, the poin't is that the mech was designed to carry a 300 originally. I am not saying it should be able to pack a 350, but IMO< it should at least be able to carry the engine Marauders came out of the factory with, a 300. And it would hardly be the first mech where the engine cap was relaxed.

At a fundamental level I agree - it needs the bigger cap. 300 on a 75 ton mech is required to be even moderately competitive, especially against something like the Timber Wolf.

I still bought it though. Cuz I promised, if PGI would make these mechs happen I'd buy that **** up day 1. So I did.

Yeah, not surprised by the 3R(S), since most packs just have a Cbill Bounus/Special Geo version of hte "base" model.
but would have liked to seen a 3D or 5D in the pack, and the such

I promised to buy the Marauder. Never said a thing about the Hero. But I will buy it if it can run a 300, at least.

Honestly, this does make me have second thoughts about the extra $15 for the Bounty Hunter model. Would I ever actually want to pilot it at that speed?

A basic warhawk runs faster than a tweeked Bounty Hunter.
Let that sink in for a moment and then post.

Do you really want an assault speed on a heavy?

As for the question OP asked. To me this is a deal breaker. I might as well run a Warhawk instead of that.
