Cockpit is a must, but I don't see why it couldn't have HUD elements to it.

The cockpit is great, but many of us will want only the HUD.
I have a simulator cockpit, so I don't like the idea of seeing a cockpit on the viewscreens INSIDE my cockpit!

I want cockpit only. Rather than giving me a hud, use those screens in there!

I think thats part of the experience. Its what makes it a simulator really. In real life tanks the views are different depending on the tank. All this should be factored in when you buy the mech... Also I think it would be a good idea to have a testing grounds to get a feel for the different types. You want to test a car before you drive it.
