ok so now i can see that there are some things that the voting system did get right - which is why i haven't posted, for once i wanted to sit back and take a close look.
it seems pgi has balanced the assault queue with heavy and medium and light with this.
choosing game mode has been mostly positive; except for 100 tonner mechs. they might need a bigger incentive if however small.
map voting is more problematic in my opinion, but i don't have the data to back any statement i make yet; as it has been implemented so recently still.
but i think it removes some flavor from the game when you don't have enough randomness thrown in and you make it more desirable to take certain builds that boat the same weapons
