Was wondering if anyone might have any insight on if I can buy a founders pack as a gift for someone else. So far, it seems only limited to when you are logged on to your own account.

I do not have access to the other persons log on.

Other than maybe buying a visa gift card, which I really don't want to do (I don't want them to use it on something else I was also hoping for the purchas to be a suprise).

Any thoughts??

If the person trust you then they could temporarily give you their account.

I don't recommend that though.

Or you could make a new account, buy founders for it, then give said person the account...

yeah apart from getting the account details and logging on and buying it , no theres no way, and if the other person was smart, they would change their PW to something before giving u access, and revert it after.

Well, I was originally asking for someone I know, but then I thought it would be very cool to sponsor giving away an elite package in a form of a contest.

It would be something like this:

Open to players who do not have a founders pack already (sorry guys). The current group of founders would help suggest a contest or method of selecting a proposed winner.

I would sponsor that winner with an elite package, or perhaps the two runner ups each with a veteran package each. Ideally, one elite and two runner ups with veteran. I could see if I could swing 120.00 (definately the 60.00).

Not 100% sure how I could pull it off, but I think it would be fun. But the first question has to be answered, can I even buy a package for another player. So far, it does not seem plausible (unless I can work something out behind the scenes with the developers).

Paypal. Send their account the money, they buy founders. Simple, easy, risk-free.

You're right, zero risk of them taking the money to the Steam summer sale instead. Why didn't anybody think of this sooner?

OP, ask devs/mods to do this. It's a decent idea, I think they'll implement this.

Sorry, but I do not own nor deal with paypal accounts. But thank you for the suggestion (I didn't think of it)!

It seems if this can happen, I may have to deal directly with the devs to work this out. Let's see if they get back to me!!

Steam Summer Sale.... the worst thing to happen to gamer wallets ever... I both love, and loathe the thing... /sigh

It shouldn't be to hard. Create a free email account, create the pilot name, associate it to the email account name and pay for it. Then give the logins and passwords to them and highly recommend they change their passwords immediately.

Not that hard really. I do not know how hard it would be to change the pilot name though. Other games have the option to do it once per account.

Speaking of which... When the heck is it going to get here? I was going to buy the Sims 3 for my wife... (I just cannot stand her playing the Facebook version any longer. It sucks. And it is maddening.)

Edit: Sorry if it is already here. We have been in the hospital for the last 3 days having a baby.
