Adding Cw Maps To The Cassual Game?

How about this? I already prefer the CW maps over most of the normal ones.

At the very least allow the CW maps to be played in private lobbies. I think some of them would be fun.

For private skirmish matches? Sure.

For actual server PVP games? No.

As long as it's just the maps and nothing else. No respawns, no gates or generators, no IS vs Clan only, etc.

One of PGI's biggest mistakes was not making all the maps universal. We could have 50% more maps in puglandia and 150% more maps in CW.

Making these updates is no small task, but on par with the River City and Forest Colony remakes. I don't see why not.

Quality > quantity


Yeah MWO has a decent amount of maps but allot of them aren't very good.

The gates are even in CW meaningless. But I'm for destroying or capturing something to have more tactical options as just to kill other mechs. Attack defend maps I would prefer.

CW maps are the worse of the bunch. Nothing but hallway and chokepoints. Imagine having only one life on those maps, nobody will go past the first choke point or even leave spawn.

Give a 2X bonus on everything for capping without killing all of the defenders, and see how quickly that changes.

Even better, give defenders a 2X bonus on everything if all attackers are killed or none are inside the base at time limit.

People don't play for the rewards we already know that with conquest paying 30% more and never being played.

Grim Portico would be a good map for pub play, not sure about the others though.

They would all require a rework on the scale of the River City and Forest Colony remakes, but I think it would be well worth it.

Don't get me wrong, i love having more and higher rewards. Im not giving 2 seconds to look at them though. It;s just the game that is a cbill grind fest so we need more cbills. That is all. Everyone agrees, we need more cbills, but you should look at your performance at the end of a match not your earning. Cbills earning tells you next to nothing, the scoreboard gives you a pretty damn good idea. Thew cbills are also affected by premium times and hero boost, the score isnt.

Seeing them would be great. Emerald Taiga is big and asymmetrical enough, too. But many of them need to be fixed to not be as extremely lane-based as they are right now.

Would not be a fan of that, personally I find the CW maps just... brainless. Most of them feel like lanes inspired directly out of something ridiculous like a MOBA.

Boring tunnels or creating pathways through those massive hills/mountains in some maps should work nicely. Maybe even carve out some "caves" to be used as ambush points.
