There really isn't all that much to test. We already have variations on all of the quirks on the live server, and ecm is a jesus box again.

Few matches is really more than enough.

Not really true. I thought the laser lock thing was going to be silly till I played it. Then I really liked it so naturally it got cut lol.

The trouble is though that PGI, like pretty much every dev team makes a change and then will not budge from their stance. They will fight to defend that mechanic no matter how faulty it is. Spending recources and time to try and tweak it and make it work instead of admiting it was a mistake and moving on. Poor heat scale, ghost heat, ecm..... shall I continue.

I know they are using the data from out testing. I however do not really feel like they are using any of our feedback from testing.

It also feels like they are listening to a small group of players that have their ear.

I liked most of the previous changes outside of laser lock mechanic which was patently terrible. The new PTS keeps some of those changes, but otherwise isn't changing much. I wouldn't mind if they went live, but the bigger changes to agility and Clan range/CXL nerfs might cause a fuss. I think with the Clan nerfs most of the IS quirks could stand to be reduced drastically

Agreed.

I actually was not against the laser lock, but did feel it needed a lot of tweaks (like not waiting for paperdoll to be able to do full damage), but at least applauded PGI for trying something outside the box.

the agility nerfs and CXL are two of the most important changes.

You only need 4 people. You can kind of tell how many people are on by the Q percent. If you see light med and heavy with 33% and assault with zero, you can guess there are 3 people waiting.

Don't forget people are in games too, give it atleast 15 minutes.

So ECM is just getting a range nerf? WTF! That thing has been broken since it came out. ECM nerf would have fixed a ton of issues. Missiles would be worth carrying. Now it's back to the same laser light show we've had forever. The little faith I had in this huge overhaul is now lost.
