Son of Mies Kurita and Commander of the 1st Freemen, they guard Rasalhague Province.

And, that's about all I got, I'll have to comb through my era reports. It is a travesty how little FRR info there is.

Era 3052 gave me nothing, but the Kurita Sourcebook states that Mies wishes his son Kute would learn the more quieter arts of persuasion before Mies retires. His son is a scrappy fighter. So I guess this report is more akin to the loud child embarassing the family with his antics.

Ha! "Överste Knute"!
I think I've finally found my team.

IIRC, he's one of the personalities mentioned in 20 Year Update. I'll try and post some info this afternoon, if no one else beats me to it.

The most that 20 years update says is he's son of Mies, sided against the Ronin, and commands the 1st Freemen based on Last Frontier.

Quote from BattleTech Wiki:
1st Freeman
Unit Profile (as of 3050)
Nickname: Freemen
Parent Formation:
Formed 3035
The 1st Freeman was one of the many Free Rasalhague Republic units destroyed during the Clan Invasion.
History:
Raised from a number of smaller conventional units, the 1st Freeman's first action was guarding the newly formed Republic capital of Rasalhague.
As of 3049, the green ranked 1st were stationed on Last Frontier in the Rasalhague Province. The 1st Freeman faced the Clan juggernaut in June 3050 when Clan Ghost Bear raided Last Frontier during their third invasion wave. Outnumbered and outmatched from the start by the Bear's elite 1st Bear Guards and Silveroot and Ourse Keshiks, the fanatical 1st Freeman fought to the last man, extracting a heavy price for their defeat after a lucky strike inflicted heavy injuries on the Bear saKhan Theresa DelVillar which resulted in her death.
Officers:
In 3050 the Commanding Officer of the unit was Överste Knute Kurita.

From the 20 Year Update:

"Överste Knute Kurita is an anonaly in the Inner Sphere. A distant relative to the ruling family of the Draconis Combine, he serves in the military of a rival realm, the Free Rasalhague Republic. The son of Mies Kurita, Knute grew up in the Rasalhague Military District, as had every member of his family for generations. When Rasalhague declared its' independence in 3034, Knute's loyalties were divided between his master in Luthien, and his upbringing, friends and family in Rasalhague. There was little hesitation as Knute joined the fight against the ronin units of the Draconis Combine and then joined the KungsArmë. Knute was promoted to the rank of Överste in 3046, and he commands the First Freemen, based on Last Frontier."

Yeah, I had assumed the "tweaking of noses" was due to us having a Kurita as an Överste. Just no clue how he is "outlandish" or what actions he's ever taken, since we can't seem to find anything. :)

That's more what I wanted to figure out, just what sort of outlandish shenanigans is this guy getting up to?

I bet he commissioned a mech-sized smoking jacket and had a huge exhaust pipe welded to the front on his cockpit that billows black smoke on command.

A 31st century Hugh Hefner if you will.

He painted his mech Garish Colors and 'revealed' some of the strange saxual (Liked that get around Dihm, thanks) proclivities of the Court, involving animals, excrement and children (not all of them together but IT is the Barbaric InnerSphere and Their Aristocratic Houses, and history shows us that the Aristocracy tends to go this route).

Um, what? No, I was referring to the Wacky Sax/Yakety Sax, the one from Benny Hill? The one that makes anything funny?

Well, his unit manages to kill a saKhan, so I'd say that's pretty important. So that's what, an ilKhan and a saKhan? Am I missing any more of your leaders that the FRR kills early on? ;)
