I think this was the point on why they're getting buffed in the first place because people were putting heatsinks or another weapon instead of using tact coms mk1/2/3 and CC.
Being able to fit a tact com or CC is a bonus but not worth the weight right now. :/

A Mk1 isn't bad to have for a laser boat, but that's the extent of it. Any higher level TC gave diminishing returns, despite having a linear increase of slots and tonnage taken. :\

For CC? I'm still of the opinion that it should datalink everything in your field of view. Battlefield situational awareness was, after all, the primary reason to put an extra meat-sack in the cockpit.
I cant say one way or the other what could be done with MASC. Making it give speed bonuses is obvious, but we all know how easy it is for the netcode here have a conniption.

Nah the current way targeting computers work is fine. They just need to exponentially increase the bonuses for the higher level targeting computers. The more tonnage you spend the bigger bonus you should get.
Jumpjets should work the same way. The more jumpjets you equip the bigger the bonus you should get. And equipping max jumpjets on a mech should give you an additional thrust bonus in order to always encourage max jumpjets on a mech.

7 seconds just isnt long enough to do anything remotely useful with it...
Even a Dire Wolf reaches top speed in less than 7 seconds.
While I certainly wouldn't argue with a larger "reservoir" I also don't see the need for it. 7 seconds is plenty since it's of situational use anyway. My main use for MASC is to back up quickly after firing an alpha. Move forward using normal movement, fire, back up using MASC. Works great.

He said IS/Clan Masc in the tweet, so maybe it will come out then. Wolverine with Masc would be neat and any other mechs that have it.
I asked about command console as did for IS and he said they were holding off on that unfortunately.

One can hope.
I like using the masc on the EXE, it saved me more times then I can count and mounting it on other mechs would be a bonus.

Sure, if the MASC acceleration bonus was as felt on the lighter mechs as it is on the EXE. Switching MASC on should be like getting launched out of a cannon. Practically instant full speed or braking. If they can tune that for the MK1, 2, 3, etc, so that the mech regardless of weight class feels like that? MASC would be pretty nice to have on the SHC. I don't think it's enough to redeem the lack of hardpoints, but it certainly won't hurt.

I mean, it's fun to throttle flip in under a second with the Wolvie, but there's no question that I could easily make better use of the tonnage. MASC's current badness is also pretty much the only thing stopping me from buying a Shcat, which was one of my favorites in MW3 & 4.
