I was originally running my 2D2 with the STD 275, DHS, endo, FF, 2 LL, 3 SSRM2s w/2 tons of ammo and BAP.

However I want to try these two builds. They have STD 275, 2LL, 4 SRM2s.

Ammo in the torsos with CASE

Without CASE, ammo stored in the legs

Is it better to have ammo in the legs or in the torsos with CASE?

I would go with legs. I almost never lose a leg in a shadowhawk and when I do it usually because I did something dumb and got caught in the open with lrms that peel a whole side off of me. On top of that, ammo explosions are rare even when the leg gets destroyed.

I'd also go with legs, although this could possibly depend on who you play against.

Where I play (against highish tier PUGs), I don't find people targetting my Shadow Hawks' legs too much, just not a fast enough target to warrant that I guess. They tend to go for the torso instead. While the CASEs protect you from death from the resulting ammo explosions, you'd still subject yourself to losing your laser arms sooner than you otherwise might've.

If a leg carrying ammo is destroyed, does the CT take damage from it or the side torso?
