My new favorite map, if anyone hasnt checked it out yet, its freaking majestic.
Very oldschool mechwarrior, LOTS of open ground, but its not always visible, think canyon network meets frozen city meets alpine peaks.

Long range will be very powerful but the brawlers can use good tactics and manuvering to get right on top of you before you can even see them,

My ideal map is a circle with an open space in the middle and concentric rings of valleys and ridges.

Sounds like this is very close. Would like to see a few higher ridgelines to provide better LRM cover though... sounds like getting narced is

(insert Bill Paxton's Hudson meme)

Game Over, dude, Game Over.

I predict the lack of cover will lead to LRM heavy teams to declare it the new Alpine.

The map is pretty. I love the little roads and nooks and crannies for smaller 'mechs to move through. However...

*spoiler alert!*

The clouds rotate in a circle around the map like they are on a merry-go-round.

No this map actually has loads of cover, and you only really have 1620m range max with clan ERPPCs, and this map is so big that you actually have a high chance of not hitting anything. its a really really really well done map, and i love it.

Kind of happy for this. The only way to counter the lrms will be faster moving mechs. Maybe now in group Q there will be less than 8 assaults on one team.

Two games in and I'm enjoying it so far. Lights and fast mediums are going to be useful here to scout and to move quickly to take out any enemies that become isolated. You might have an issue if both teams take a wide line and miss each other! Lrms are going to be tricky to avoid here but there's enough cover to duck behind if you are targeted.

So far so good. :)

seems like the terrain hitboxes aren't anywhere near where the terrain is rendered...lots of invisible terrain blocking shots

wish this had been a CW map, looks great, huge play area and lots of cover to approach the opposition without being seen, would have had some epic battles, but alas its quickdrop,oh well, here's hoping that PGI do similar maps for CW soon

This map is identical to Boreal Vault in the lack of cover, with minor slopes to keep LRM boating from the backlines viable.

ie: PGI EPIC FAIL.
